John, in the RNS and previous statements, FST refer to "increasingly competitive":"This will be an important differentiator in the increasingly competitive Smart Audio space."This suggests competitors are growing in numbers.My concern is price competition. I like businesses that have something unique and can build an unassailable moat around themselves.

You're right Nod. Also, this doesn't mean that FST technology is in Google/Amazon/Apple equipment but that other companies developing products to interconnect with Google/Amazon/Apple equipment can use FST technology in their products to do that.

The biggest thing I take from these announcements is that FST have all three of Google/Amazon/Apple covered - which should make it easier for them to sell their technology.

Not wanting to rain on the parade but, I assume FST is one of multiple suppliers providing similar interfaces to the applications offered by Apple, Google, Amazon, Spotify, etc.I assume this is not like IMG, CSR, Wolfson who were the chosen one.

Exciting stuff! Very exciting stuff!

I agree Monty. Look on the bright side though, the lack of PR has allowed those in the know - us - to get invested before the rest of the world finds out. The revenues from these collaborations won't be hidden.

Anyway, yes, I believe this is the first time there has been a link with Apple. The release of the Apple HomePod is expected soon so great that FST are involved with all three major players in the Smart Audio space.

The Frontier SmartSDK is an advanced and flexible multi-ecosystem software solution, which supports the latest audio technologies, including AirPlay 2. Together with Frontier’s Minuet hardware platform, it enables third party brands and manufacturers to develop smart audio products quickly and cost-effectively.

AirPlay 2 introduces multi-room audio playback from iOS devices to enabled speakers with a simple tap or by asking Siri. AirPlay 2 also offers a superior user experience with latency reductions and responsiveness improvements; it also provides a higher level of buffering, which allows audio to keep playing if users temporarily move out of Wi-Fi range.

My brother in law is blind, and the technology is life-changing for him... he can ask the time, re-tune his radio, find football scores, play his choice of music, all without having to "ask for help from another human" ... he feels less of a burden!

Also dont have the hassle of finding the menu and having to charge smartphones so I think after a slow start it will take off this year in a big way.

Yes more convenient than smartphone and much better microphones and speakers. They are so cheap I have bought 3 and primarily use them as radios. I also use them as timers. Excellent when in kitchen and hands full of utensils. It makes sense to have several in the house and once you have one then likelihood is that you would buy several. Therefore could sell in similar numbers to smartphones in the long run.

I like FLTA previously held but sold too soon as per usual, also hold ESG but nothing else caused me to rush and buy....
