23/4/2021 10:11 | I've no position here atm but have held lots in the past. It's at least tripled since Yank turned up with his negativity. That says it all | donald pond
22/4/2021 17:54 | I wonder how the actual devs at FDEV feel about this date. Issue Tracker: 4230 unconfirmed issues. 120 confirmed 55 fixed So that's 16/17 working days to process 4000+ issues and fix all the ones that are real, non-duplicated issues. Not to mention the EAP(Early Access Program)/Alpha/Beta/ And we haven't even started on the compatibility testing of Phase 4 yet. I admire their confidence. | yankhanson

21/4/2021 18:03 | "...after spending some time in the game’s early Alpha test of its upcoming Odyssey expansion, it seems like Elite Dangerous is not only getting even bigger, but also crossing the threshold to become something that feels groundbreaking." butwhythopodcast.com | w13ken
21/4/2021 09:23 | Maybe read the trading statement published 13th January 2021 Yank (real, not parody version). I know, it's a lot to ask of someone who is here purely to troll but put in the effort my man. | fledgling1nvestor
21/4/2021 09:16 | To rephrase that: How can I have a pointless dig at ED? How about bringing up the massively successful COBRA platform and slate it as old, despite it's triumps. That'll have to do. Now back to the general finance. Best not mention the year on year growth as that makes me sad. Instead, something's been delayed until it's better - I'll make that look BAD. | yankhans0n
20/4/2021 23:53 | I wondered why Lemnis Gate looks so much better than the usual FDEV game, then realised. It uses the state-of-the-art industry standard Unreal Engine 4 rather than FDEV's in-house bug-riddled rustbucket "COBRA". Good move. So its now delayed until "Summer 2021". Will that get inside the current financial year? | yankhanson

14/4/2021 08:13 | The best indicator that it is time to make a purchase of FDEV shares is when Yank Hanson shows up on this forum. Gets the timing right every time, incredible. | nimbo1
14/4/2021 00:45 | The first Elite Dangerous Odyssey preview from major gaming press. "Despite the wobbliness present in the alpha, and the lacklustre gunfoolery of its FPS segments thus far, I'm still hopeful with what Odyssey is promising." www.rockpapershotgun | yankhanson

09/4/2021 01:24 | Sogoesit, try the top two Elite Dangerous youtube reporters ObsidianAnt www.youtube.com/chan I'd say commentary is extremely mixed. There's general agreement the game is a long way from fit for launch. Then most positive comments are from people who think the alpha tag means what it normally does in the industry - there will be many months of improvements before launch. For example FDEVs last ED alpha-to-release was nearly a year. Then the negative comments are from those who know FDEV is saying launch is just a few weeks after this very short alpha. Even though right now reported bugs are in the thousands, rising rapidly, with FDEV fixing them at the rate of about 10 a week. Most serious technical problem is that due to fundamental limitations in the primitive in-house engine FDEV uses, the game right now just does not work playably on a large proportion of even modern PCs. Fixing that by next month's launch on PC will take a miracle. Fixing it for the last-gen consoles which FDEV has dropped from next month's launch, kicking them to fall, would probably be financially suicidal even with a miracle, seeing how poor the Elite Dangerous sales have been on consoles since day #1. | yankhanson
07/4/2021 17:47 | I've been playing the Alpha since it came out and I have been enjoying it and kept coming back to it. Still some tweaks/optimisation needed etc but the fundamental game is a very good addition IMO. The mechanics that have been added to the underlying Cobra game engine could give other benefits downstream e.g. licensing the game engine or use it as part of publishing deal. I'm still holding long term. | ck1111
07/4/2021 11:16 | Luckily my filtured friend seems to turn up when the going starts to get good. Looks like expectation to the upside is building for the Odyssey release. Have been watching some of the Odyssey Alpha vids on Youtube and commentary appears mainly positive. Although not a games player myself I can see how these things can get addictive. I watched one Live Stream by "RustyDog" and stopped after about 45 minutes. When I looked again a day later he had been playing for 5 hours!! It appears that youtubers like this get substantial "donations" as well so I guess it's a "working life" for some folks. Anyway, look forward to any commentary from the more professional observers amongst you but looking good so far as the right shoulder of the big H&S is broken and we approach £30 again to rejoin the longstanding upward trend channel. | sogoesit
03/4/2021 23:12 | Yank was hanging around at £7 claiming it was gonna fall way way lower because the business was so bad. He should have just bought in and made nearly 400% return instead. He's a person known to the company from back when elite was in its kickstarter phase. Had a grudge ever since. I don't tend to add to positions too much once they have gone on a run, but if this fell to £20 then I'd be tempted. | endion
03/4/2021 22:38 | Negative? You call my post "The first press on Odyssey which FDEV is due to launch next month are... mixed to put it mildly." negative? No, that's not negative. Negative would have been "The first press on Odyssey are negative to put it mildly." I said mixed not negative because of the half-dozen reports I have seen so far, one was positive. I can't find it now, but I'm sure I saw it. Perhaps you can find it for us? | yankhanson
03/4/2021 21:58 | This is a confirmed, Extended V-Bottom. Very tempting to get back into a trade here, but historical resistance is an ever present danger to those juicy looking chart pattern based targets. | bamboo2
03/4/2021 21:48 | W13Ken - YH won’t do that. He’s been calling the business and share price down since £2.80 I reckon. Great correlation between YH nonsense and the share price. Most obvious reason for unrelenting nonsense? - financial pain | largemerlot
03/4/2021 21:13 | Hi YankHanson, I thought I recognised your name so I had a look back at your Advfn post history. It seems every one of your posts (100+) about an actual company's shares is about Frontier Developments and it seems that every one (perhaps with the exception of the one above, which is a question) is negative. I'm not saying FDEV is perfect, far from it: they have had game release delays and I would agree that they are objectively overvalued at the moment. But I'm interested in why you keep posting about them when most would post once or twice about a company that they thought was a poor investment. Would you mind sharing your background with FDEV? Are you a former employee, shareholder or competitor? | w13ken
03/4/2021 13:42 | Perhaps FDEV will do better with their forthcoming Formula 1 game. Is there a release date? | yankhanson
03/4/2021 00:45 | The first press on Odyssey which FDEV is due to launch next month are... mixed to put it mildly. PC GAMER Elite Dangerous Odyssey's rubbish taxis are here to stay But Frontier's response to early Alpha feedback doesn't address the expansion's deeper issues. hxxps://www.pcgamer. | yankhanson

22/3/2021 19:54 | scooper, There are two H&S shown, each marked by a neckline in red. A neckline shares many of characteristics of any other trendline, eg it can mark an area of support or resistance. The upper H&S was confirmed [eod close below neckline] and reached its target near to 2800. A bear flag then formed, which took price down further. The second H&S remains unconfirmed. The neckline is positioned at prior historical support [Orange line 2290]. A potential turn shows approx 5/3/2021, adjacent to the support level. I caught the falling knife here, almost perfectly. The larger H&S needs an eod close below approx 2280 to confirm. If it does confirm the tp is approx 1620. This is near to historical and a breakaway gap support zone. LS = left shoulder, RS = right shoulder. | bamboo2 |
