Hope I'm wrong but I dont expect a quick bounce back on this at all and it might set-up a further fall when it funded bounce a little.

Seeing all these FDEV directors selling out makes me wonder, does anyone know an accurate source of when any FDEV director last bought any FDEV shares? The last director buy news I recall was back in 2018, but I know lots of the Director Deals websites can't be trusted because they're listing false info. At that time FDEV and its broker Libereum both falsely claimed Chinese Tecent's CFO Mitchell had bought shares. So reliable info seems rather hard to find.

Oh dear. Gamers stopped buying stuff like that a decade or two ago. Seems FDEV didn't get the memo. It is painful to think FDEV has spent 100 developers and 3 years producing this. Three weeks before release and all they've got to show is a mind-numbingly basic on-foot shooter just like hundreds of others littering the Steam graveyard. What on earth was FDEV's broker smoking when he predicted this would earn £30m in this financial year??

I agree great long term value am still holding most of mine. I am hopeless at picking peaks and troughs so have given up trying! My current target £50-60. Not worried about Ex COO selling as it was consistent with his previous sells & needing cash. Have been keeping eye on Odyssey, looking good but some work to do before release, looking forward to trying Alpha on 29th March.

Any of the regulars on here buying more FDEV given the recent fall? I'm sorely tempted given that I think they represent very good value. The director sales are causing me to think twice though. The two Exec dir sales I'm more comfortable with given they each still have c.£500k of sales, but the NED is now down to 0. He's the ex COO who left 2-3 yeras ago to move to a start-up. I guess you could argue that he might be wanting to put the cash into that company, but still, not ideal to see

Elite Dangerous: Odyssey Alpha to be released this month. A dozen stories on Gaming websites have been published in the 90 minutes since this news was released. This is big news for FDEV as ED has sold 5 million+ copies and this should hopefully have a positive effect on the recently battered share price.

Highly anticipated Elite Dangerous: Odyssey expansion will have Alpha later this month on March 29, 2021, the development team Frontier confirmed. To celebrate the reveal of the Alpha start date, the team have shared a new gameplay video showing an Odyssey mission playthrough, which features gameplay captured from a raid.

Looked at the chart to find a likely turn date.
The next one is 8-9/3/2021
Not sure of direction, if any, [!] until nearer the time.

Caution, I don't pick up all the turns, and obvs some don't materialise.

I'm just buying the odd few shares on my Freetrade accountant which doesn't charge any fees on some stocks, as the price continues to slide. In my ISA I've only got half my profits left invested. Personally I see this pull back as an opportunity to get more out of a great British company that is operating in a gaming market which is only going to grow. If it goes down another 500p will start to buy much bigger chunks

Agreed Sogoesit. I've been holding these for 4-5 years now. Sold too many on the way up unfortunately. If we do drop back into the mid 20s then I'll be buying more as I thin it would then offer 100% upside potential on a 2-3 year basis

Agreed, more or less.
I see support at 2775 which coincides with the base of the uptrend channel as scooper notes.
However, if that fails we could be looking at 2300 going on 2135.

This is quite a volatile stock and has a habit of the market losing interest or selling off when (significant) releases don't turn up as regularly as expected or wanted. We still haven't got over the one year release/new-income gap and until that happens the volatility will continue. Not helped by the uncertainty of the new Odyssey release due to management of COVID.

It's true on the chart if u draw a line along the dips it does seem to be reaching that point where it is either going to bounce above it or go through that straight line. Not sure that's how a chartist would describe it but the best I can do.

Thanks. I've started buying individual Frontier Dev. shares on a daily basis as a way of drip feeding into the stock further with my Freetrade ap as they don't charge any fees and the buy price is same as HL platform. Noticed that one subscription I have - Motley Fool Hidden Winners has had them as a Best Buy out of their range of stocks to buy recently.

I've been thinking of that too (though it would need to fall another 80-90% to get back to my inprice and I'm notoriously bad at averaging up).

Whilst I'm not a chartist, FDEV has previously dropped down to the 50DMA and then bounced off it before - once in July last year and then November, and I dont think its any more below the 50DMA now than it was on those occasions. It doesnt seem to me therefore that it would be unexpected to bounce back somewhere off around where it is now-ish. I think its good value where it is now if you're looking for 20%-30% p.a. over 2-3 years.

They're talking about new content to Jurassic World Evolution, not a new game. Also the mystery FY22 game isn't a Universal property, it's a Sony property.

I think the global IP multi-format title coming up (in next FY) is a sequel/Jurassic based game.
