No harm in banking some profit on the way up. I did. This has been excellent for me, bought at 1.98, trimmed back at various points as it was starting to skew portfolio. No regrets, hindsight is 20:20 but a 15 bagger was not guaranteed and can't argue with cash and a profit.

If I'd let entire stake run it would have been stellar but could also have stagnated or crashed.

Have mo regrets if you make a legal profit!

I got in at 330p and also sold too much at lower levels. Expensive lesson, though I didnt learn from the previous time when I bought BOO around 30p so no guarantee that I'll learn from this one either

Looks like the people/IIs who sold out on vaccine day purely for reasons of so-called “sector rotation” are missing out on the fun. Congrats to you guys for making good money.

I bought in at an average of £2.70, sold out at £24.50 as FDEV had become a huge part of my portfolio and I lost my nerve! Hoped to buy back in cheaper, lol!!!

£30 it is then.
Entered my first position in FDEV in early 2018 at about £16 with a 3 year view to £25.
Saw £7.50 in between and the 3 year view has now come good, learning some lessons along the way. (That volatility could have killed or, if traded, made or lost more).

Compared to early 2018 the company looks in a much better (less volatile?) place and the pipeline looks larger supported by the recurring "nurtured" content.
I expect the next "3 year view" to exceed a double from here making £60+ by end 2022.
Consensus broker forecast EPS for FY22 is 72p with a high of 93p and low of 58p from 11 analysts.

This has been a long term hold and accumulate. Let's hope I accumulate with better timing on any future dips.
However, for the time being we appear to be at the top of the range from a charting point of view (not to say that could also be exceeded to the upside but trend lines are always useful I think).
[The trend lines are at a CAGR of 78% which, coincidentally, is round about the trailing P/E. So the PEG is 1 indicating fair value.]

Harshil Patel(great track record) of Motley Fool has FD as one of his two ‘Gaming stocks for 2021’ - and this is even after the recent run. Sumo Group is the other.

There is quite a fair bit of hype surrounding the first person shooter mechanics being introduced by Elite: Odysssey. This may explain some of the strength shown in the share price. Mix that in with wider market conditions, the bearish outlook for many co's due to covid, but gaming sector largely up and seen as a safe haven. I would normally have expected a bit more consolidation around this area, but the situation is such that the share price has been well supported and driven.

Presumably the share price action over the last couple weeks is linked to the CDM offer - an assumption that FDEV is next

Nothing unusual. They typically do a trading update in early January and publish the unaudited half year accounts in early February.

You’ll get a notice of results and trading update in the 2nd week of January - last year was on the 15th January.

Company very quiet on the newsflow front.
Haven't had a TU since 28 August, Annual Results excepted.
Are we going to have to wait 'til January for half-year results notice before learning anything new?
(The Half Year ended on 30 November)

Planet Coaster has been selling well on Steam since the 17th.
Wonder if it's Mac users buying the Mac port, or PC users noticing advertising for the console ports.

Elite Dangerous is selling well too.
Despite being free on Epic, the Steam sale price is tempting enough.

My big concern here is the scale of the share options as compared to operating profits. In operational terms, company doing really well but much (most?) of this extracted by management.
