If prepared to wait then now might not be a bad point to buy 1/3 rd of a future holding imho. Certainly not advice but I have bought and will wait.

@makw61, Haemimont are mostly known for city building/strategy games. I'm expecting it to be along a similar vein but perhaps set in the PlanCo (Planet Coaster/Zoo) universe so that Frontier can further expand that franchise.

I don't like the idea of an ACTI move on FDEV but can see the logic.
Braben & British is best but money talks.

"(unless there is a runaway success from Foundry)"

@makw61

If there is to be a success from Foundry I'd expect it to come from their Haemimont partnership which is 2½ years into a 2-3 year development now. With the delays covid have introduced I expect we'll be seeing this release early November 2022 (FY23).

They might become an interest to the likes of Activision at this rate. Not a bad price for the talent onboard.

Management games are not their strong point so agree that F1 game unlikely to move the dial here.

They seem to persist in making games that are visually exciting, but somewhat dull to play.

Understand their view that mobile gamers are fickle but that is where the growth is (hence TTWO's bid for Zynga).

That said the market cap might be attractive if not for DB's blocking stake.

Might look to buy back in if the Warhammer RTS looks good, but no obvious share price catalysts prior to then (unless there is a runaway success from Foundry).

pinning their hopes on an f1 management game, a niche gaming sector by definition is risky in my opinion. Warning later this year imo.

Been looking through the results and there will be plenty of time to buy in before this recovers in my view. Could be an even more bumpy 12 months ahead by the look of it...

It's probably a timing thing more than anything else, Frontier's fiscal year ends May 31st but they won't be able to spoil the movie by releasing any movie specific free/paid content until the movie releases in June and the main marketing push is likely going to be alongside the movie.

The bulk of the unit sales will likely come as a result of that June marketing push.
