24/9/2018 08:21 | MIDAS piece on SUMO yesterday. Could just as well have been writing about FDEV IMHO. | shanklin
21/9/2018 16:51 | That’s a really cool function Mark! Essentially what they are doing is allowing users to create their own content. That’s really, really big. I can see so many people going wild with that. And thanks for the info Willie, certainly a good sign! | endion
21/9/2018 15:23 | endion it is the wife of James Mitchell who picked up the shares--Joy Hu picked up 19,992 shares in FDEV---she is a software QA engineer at Tencent. Bullish. | williemanjaro
21/9/2018 14:49 | Not going to comment on the share price :-) Talking of Planet Coaster a new update has been announced, for later this year, and it will include a significant (free) new feature. "The Thememaker's Toolkit is a Planet Coaster website that you can upload 3D models to. You can then set some game options for that model and download a version which is compatible with Planet Coaster. The created scenery item can then be shared on the Steam Workshop via the in-game functionality." hxxps://forums.plane That should boost pre-Christmas sales! | mark4231
21/9/2018 12:59 | Forget planet coaster. The share price is behaving like a roller coaster!!! | allstar4eva
21/9/2018 10:39 | Bedtime reading... FDEV 2018 Annual Report - | speedsgh
21/9/2018 09:13 | Good to see that someone who also works for Tencent is willing to buy a sizeable chunk of shares here. And why wouldnt he, its cheaper than what the other directors got earlier in the year @ circa £13. Cheers Mark, I'll take a look. | endion
21/9/2018 08:47 | endion, it was on page 12 under "Employment Policies". It's probably a couple of people working from home or something. Nice to see a Director (or rather wife of) buy reported this morning. £225K so a good chunk and the first for James Mitchell who is the Non-Executive Director appointed last year that is also the Chief Strategy Officer and Senior Executive Vice President at Tencent. | mark4231
21/9/2018 08:44 | PCA Dealings The Company was notified on 20 September 2018 that Joy Hu, wife of James Mitchell, a Non-Executive Director of Frontier Developments plc, purchased 19,992 ordinary shares of 0.5p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at an average price of 1129.6 pence per Ordinary Share during the period 18-19 September 2018. Following these transactions, Mr Mitchell holds a total of 19,992 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.052 per cent of the Company's total issued share capital. That is a very decent chunk of change! | allstar4eva
21/9/2018 08:36 | Where was that in the report mark? | endion
20/9/2018 16:44 | Nice to close at £12, feels like the share price is definitely back on an upward trajectory now. The Annual Report is a nice read. Nothing particularly new, but gives me additional confidence that the management really understand their market and how to take advantage. Referring back to the link nimbo posted FDEV could really take advantage of something like cloud streaming - Planet Coaster and JWE would work perfectly with that technology I think. Side issue, the Annual Report briefly mentions US operations based in Nevada and Kansas - anybody know what that is about? | mark4231
20/9/2018 11:40 | Mad minds great eh? (just tickled me is all, move along, nothing to see here.) | hpcg
20/9/2018 10:10 | Annual report now online for anyone interested. | hastings
20/9/2018 09:59 | @ fozzie #3626 Better than my three (equal quantity) recent buys at 1150, 1000 and 850 for a nice £10 round average. My trading-buy is still holding up, and if this stays above £12, then I'll raise my manual stop-loss from £10.50 to £11. FDEV is now my 3rd largest holding, and now needs to hit £15.25 to be 1st. | dsct
20/9/2018 09:32 | Great minds eh mad? :-) | allstar4eva
20/9/2018 09:25 | My buys at 11 proved ill timed but my buys at 950 and 870 are now starting to look very good indeed. The market has thrown up and is throwing up some real bargains at the moment that one needs cash to take advantage of. | fozzie
20/9/2018 09:19 | I feel we are following each other allstar but fully agree and have tweeted to that effect. Looks like a proper bowl forming. | mad foetus
20/9/2018 08:41 | If we can crack £12 could make some swift progress. | allstar4eva
20/9/2018 07:59 | Nintendo recovering v well. This cross platform and streaming content is a good story for gaming companies. Fdev need to build their planet franchise out over the next 5-10 years and we’ll all do v nicely. | nimbo1
20/9/2018 07:13 | FY 2018 report has been posted. Will be much more in depth than the RNS. Check it out. | endion
19/9/2018 15:39 | hxxps://wccftech.com comments v relevant and positive long term for fdev | nimbo1
18/9/2018 19:42 | Good to see we finally closed above the 50DMA today, after battering through it and failing every day. Looking good from here! | averyb
17/9/2018 15:56 | As per a tweet I have just seen from IG (Investment Geordie), apparently FDEV are hoping to attend Mello London, as per It would be good to see them being more proactive with the private investor community. | shanklin
16/9/2018 11:12 | Seems like good news for companies such as Frontier: An Estonian Startup Is Undercutting Billion-Dollar Gaming Stores "Tallinn-based Ultra will take 15 percent from sales it generates through its digital store, in a bid to challenge companies such as Alphabet Inc.’s Google, Apple Inc., and Steam, the industry-leading platform owned by Valve Inc., which takes a 30 percent cut." Although: "Ultra plans to use blockchain technology to process payments and offer tokens to gamers who use its platform" Generally, it seems like the established players may face erosion of margins, benefiting publishers. | kamitora |
