This really is deja vu

Google confirmation bias while you're there (perhaps?)(more passive endion).

I recall a little conversation a while back (posts 3035 & 3036)

Bizzare number of small trades this afternoon. Anyone have any ideas to explain it? Never seen anything like it.

It's called 'painting the tape'.

An eod and/or eow phenomenon. Google it!

Is this what is happening here today again?

Can I make a believer of you yet bamboo? I know you are an experienced trader, have you never come across manipulation on aim before? I know that I have, across at least 2 other shares I own on aim. I would prefer it not to be, however from watching the trading behaviour closely for most of this downtrend I am fairly convinced.

People should have a look at trading since 11.30. There are mutliple trades going through simultainiously, throughout the day since then. Which in of itself is unusual for such an illiquid stock. Then the bid and ask price are fluctuating and replacing eachother within a seconds notice on the back of single trades. There are three trades at £10 for some reason at 11.41. Later on there is a sell of 1347 shares @976p at 13.38.59. Where as previously the bid had been 984p. Again, later on, there is another sell of 1k plus shares @973p, but then the bid rises afterwards.

None of this makes any sense.

Not much help I know, but similar price action occurred recently at WAND. The price there has now undergone a reversal. A reversal will happen here at some point.

Like hpcg and some others, I prefer not to believe the manipulation theories, but having looked quite v closely at some of the reported trades, and the timing involved, I'm not so sure.

Also, looking at the trades, the declared buys vs sells are very confused. There are a fair few buys reported as sells, one at least confirmed by a member above. Very little comparative volume is being traded at the moment, and even the current dips are not being driven by very heavy selling, even though it may look like it.

Thanks for the info czeck. Its certainly an interesting theory.

DEFINITION of 'Multiple Compression':
Multiple compression is the effect that arises when a stock sees its earnings increase, but the stock price doesn't move up (or even goes down). The result is that the given multiple (P/E ratio) is reduced even though nothing is fundamentally wrong with the company. Compression of a company's multiple can be interpreted as the valuation being called into question.

I agree with both of your last two posts endion.

I'm holding tight (said that around £15 too I think!) as the fundamentals here support a much higher share price as far as I'm concerned. I tend to long term hold and try and ignore the gyrations although of course, with hindsight, annoyed with myself for not selling at £18.

At this price, how is FDEV valued in the gaming industry, considering a P/E of around 45 now? Will a recovery of the share price to the peak value increase the P/E value considerably, compared to its peers?

I think we would all be appreciative of some news from the board considering it has fallen £9 now from the peak without any clear justification.

I still hope this might be the W forming, with the second dip lower than the first.

Whilst it urks me to see less profits and/or paper loss on shares, when H1 results are shown for JWE sales this share price will recover to well above where it is now. Just needs a lot of patience.

It’s hard to know if the news will have any impact on fdev at all. I just don’t know but clearly its trashed sentiment on top of the already large falls and it’s not yet found support. Perhaps the placing price from last year will offer support where Brabben sold some stock. I would expect to hear from the board on whether the China news is significant or not because price is reacting to it so we neeed to be informed of their view.

Good entry points were highlighted at 16, 14, 12, 10... I left for KWS a while back now and was looking to re-enter but this share price must be the biggest loser of AIM over the past few months.

Some cycling out of growth is also at play here imho.
Preparations for a cycle change and into more defensive sectors.
It will through up some decent entry prices in good companies, like FDEV.

I'm back in with a small punt at £10. Support is stronger here, happy to ditch quickly if it significantly breaks though.

I assume the news that hawaly refers to is behind the fall of the last few days even though FDEV aren't on the WeGame platform and there hasn't been any announcement of such a plan.

Anyway, with expected revenues at least supporting the broker targets surely we're now near or at the bottom for the share price... I hope... :-)

Might be the seller is heavily in the money and to some a few £ less per share is neither here nor there once a strategic decision made. Or, a bot doing some work.
