29/11/2020 15:14 | Ha Ha. If you are older than me hard luck - 68. I've set an alert for sub £10. Gold's a bit of a strange mover . At the start of this malarky the price dropped as people had to sell it as they needed the cash to close leveraged positions and if the economy recovers the price will drop. Inflation of course will raise the price but not sure how this will move bearing in mind that the amount of govt debt must limit sope for raising rates. I think silver is the one to watch as its the main out put of FRES and has industrial usage. Imast'and trader are the ones that understand this quite well and apart from thier little feud they are quite astute when it comes to FRES imo. GL | scruff1
29/11/2020 12:44 | Scruffy Like you I sold recently and am also looking for a potential re-entry point. I stated my position in post 12243 and following chats with Bonio and others. Your chat with Imstu underlines the long term correlation between the share price and pm prices. Whilst the pms have taken a modest hit recently and may fall further short term, I am convinced that medium/long term prospects are good, carrying FRES along with them - inflation will see to that. What's a good entry point? My £9.50 is just a finger in the air guess. I'll probably do what my gut tells me! If you find out more about progress on the new mine I'd like to hear. Cheers PS I suspect I may be older than you as bought my first physical and gold stocks in 2000! | theapiarist
29/11/2020 11:17 | Thanks for your reply ima. Appreciated. Agree about the round and round. I bought physical around 2008 - I think about £900 p. oz. Went up to about £1200 then down to around £700. I bought it as a bit of insurance so will probably keep it. Interesting how little it really changes. I remember reading at the time that in ancient Rome an oz of gold would but a senator a new robe and pair of sandals. Today an oz would buy an MP a decent suit and pair of shoes (though they probably get them on expenses:-) | scruff1
28/11/2020 22:13 | Bught in about Feb around £570 and then more in the £7's. Sold out a couple of months ago at £13 so its been good. Kept my eye on it and maybe get back in. See trader is still getting plenty stick. Seems unfair to me as I thought his posts were quite good as were some of ima's. Pity you both waste your efforts getting at each other | scruff1
28/11/2020 14:10 | What are you doing here today? Black Friday was yesterday! | trader536
27/11/2020 21:47 | Might wait for re-entry on this one . The charts are pointing downwards and any bad news will exacerbate the falls . POG and silver under pressure . Could be a perfect storm for people to take what little profit they have or in trader’s case reduce their losses . Sub 1,000 imho is realistic before Christmas and if PM’s fall further and production is still muted ... then back to 800 possible . All IMHO . Trader will disagree beings he was the guy saying the mines would close back in April then you really cannot trust a thing he says can you ? Funny how you can deramp a share at sub 800 then start calling 3,000 a few months later . What a fraud . | kennyp52
27/11/2020 18:44 | Monthly averages and indicators are bullish. 2xATR suggests normal monthly volatility of 428p while rising, so price shouldn't fall below 940p..... | trader536

27/11/2020 17:39 | Stupid git - you have perhaps formed that opinion as a result of you own failings and shortcomings. Its far less emotional be holding profits rather than losses, you should try it. Probably best if you put me back on filter. | trader536
27/11/2020 16:28 | I'm really not - I just don't understand why you feel the need to make untrue claims about what other people do, lie and distort and self-proclaim your own brilliance, when the facts suggest otherwise. Why not just leave others alone, and be constructive? It's just odd. | imastu pidgitaswell
27/11/2020 16:15 | Correct, you're showing off now. My trade plan is on the chart in post 12288, target, entry, indicators averages and expected volatility. | trader536
27/11/2020 15:29 | So you had (if true from 700, I'm a little sceptical) a 94% paper profit at 1360. And now you have (at 1095) 56%. So you lost getting on for half of your profit. And you didn't partake in the turkey shoot that was anything, anything at all - apart from PM stocks because PM prices were falling - from the end of October, because your money was tied up here, going down. But you saved on trading costs. And you're a trader. Each to their own. | imastu pidgitaswell
27/11/2020 14:27 | A lovely 56% profit in six months for doing nothing if you held from 700p. Out performed the market and no trading costs paid 👍 My broker loves the stupid gits who jump in and out all day for a little loose change, he makes a fortune from them, calls them busy fools lol | trader536
27/11/2020 14:13 | Average achieved gold price for Fres in 2019 was $1414, so there’s currently a huge cushion to absorb PM price volatility | trader536
27/11/2020 13:53 | Just the start alas for trader365 who’s 1370 start position is looking even worse | stevedaytrader
27/11/2020 13:40 | Well, support is support. i think we are moving under the 200 day MA. We know they like to whack gold - so it might hit 1500 from here. Who knows? But I am not a buyer until it bottoms and that could be anywhere. | bonio10000
27/11/2020 13:32 | I recall a similar trick being pulled last Thanksgiving with the US markets closed. Something like that on Thanksgiving, anyway - might have been oil and BP. While the cat's away... | imastu pidgitaswell
27/11/2020 13:17 | And there goes gold under $1800 and long term support. Very bearish. | bonio10000 |
