He likes to buy things from administration - in fact he seems to have an obsession with it. Lets hope he isn't talking Marks into doing something really bad that will lose other shareholders money.

I cant believe we have not had a trading update. If there has been some dramatic drop in the cash balance to a precarious situation not having a trading update would suggest Marks has chosen to deliberately avoid scrutiny . And one would wonder then if Marks wants to get French Connection on the cheap. (I mean where did that Rutland story in the Telegraph come from? Someone wanted to lower investors expectations).

I'm not fully convinced that Ashley has not been in touch with French Connection before that share purchase.

The stuff Ashley did with Blacks Leisure and JJB (He was alleged to have suggested to Whelan that he could benefit if he sent JJB into administration) was a disgrace.

Is Ashley a jobs creator or just a greedy ruthless jobs destroyer?

Well now that Philip Green has sorted out the BHS pension problem I wonder if he will make a move for French Connection? Will he let his chum Mike Ashley add this to his growing retail empire?

Had a look at French Connection, and I think shareholders in this loss-making will feel frustrated because there is a clear turnaround strategy!

Stephen Marks needs to drop his ego and face up to reality because FCCN is bleeding cash fast! Having looked into the business it is clear as day FCCN got to ditch RETAIL DIVISION and focus more on wholesale and licensing because it is making £12-£15m in profit, whereas retail is making BIG losses.

Because this turnaround strategy would boost the shares to £1. Read more:

Burberry wont but should buy French Connection. They understand the Chinese market and will know by their own success the potential French Connection as a mid market brand could enjoy with China's ever-growing vast middle class.

It would offer a balance should their high end business start to stutter. They should stop their pointless share buyback and make an all share offer for French Connection and utilise their funds to develop French Connection into a fashion brand as big or even bigger than Ted Baker.

I think this is just the start and others not mentioned
( as per your post ) will become interested now.
FC are a very good and well respected brand and worth
many more millions than the present valuation.

I wonder if Nanjing Cenbest will come and steal French Connection from under Mike Ashley like they did with House of Fraser?
