24/1/2017 11:34 | I can see that latest Gatemore letter being ignored as well. I reckon there is no chance that Mr Angelides will want to get involved in Gatemore's corporate-governance niceties and lead a search for other non-execs. His expertise is product design. Gatemore et al simply have to stop tip-toeing around the obvious problem -- which is Mr Marks is well past his sell-by date. Instead, the dissident investors ought to launch an EGM to force Mr Marks out and find a capable chief exec to run the group in his place. | tmfmayn
24/1/2017 10:13 | Thank you, yes if completely ignored again, you would loose all credibility with your clients, so Gatemore must get something changed for this not to happen. I am glad someone is trying though, good for them. dyor regards active | srpactive

24/1/2017 09:41 | The last time we had talk of a revolt the share price rose swiftly higher, I am expecting the same here but no retrace just a surge towards 50p. The first revolt and failure can be accepted, but if you do it twice, you either win or look a complete fool, this is where we are now. dyor regards active | srpactive
22/1/2017 20:23 | Marks is a wealthy man. Why is he paying himself so much when many companies that are run by their founders (and sometimes not) often take a nominal annual income of £1 or $1 when they are not making profits. He doesn't seem too worried about running down the company's cash balances - I don't think he should be rewarded for failure. I get the feeling some investors who have been vocal are worried he wants to take the company private on the cheap and screw all the other shareholders. If Adderley is supportive of any action by Marks that undermined all other shareholders I think Dunelm shareholders would have something to be concerned about. | she-ra
22/1/2017 18:15 | Jon Asgeir Johannesson once owned through his now defunct Baugur 20% shares in French Connection. FCCN was probably part of his plans to extend his clothing retail empire that included Oasis, Karen Millen and Whistles. I wonder if he wants and has the availability of funds to grab French Connection and rebuild his empire. He seems to have a leaning towards UK retail. Some of his recent UK investments are high end products - meat and furniture. He now seems to be attracted to the luxury end of the market. hxxps://www.retail-w | she-ra
