it was on bbc news a few days ago stating how the north was closing the gap and figures said that though London was slower than other areas, it still has a forecast post brexit of that growth next year.

Blueteam - yours above - thanks - re 4.5 pct increase - is that in the value of central ('prime') stuff, outer London, or an average ? Who reported it please ? Thanks again.

40p much more likely than 60p-perhaps less once people factor in the negative impact that a tenant fee ban will have on notoriously high charging businesses like Foxtons. Certain to be between £5 and £10m, straight off the already much depleted bottom line.

ULS Market data indicates that the UK housing market has slowed further in the autumn with UK Finance reporting a 10.1% drop in high street bank mortgage approvals for house purchases in September, compared to the prior year. While there are likely to be a number of factors causing this, it is likely that uncertainty over Brexit is a major factor. This slowdown may well be short lived but it is likely to have some impact on the Group's second half results.

Report that rental market is on the way up in London, as people don't want to sell or buy before April brexit. So foxtons has a massive rental business and could do well. We will see.

Anything they charge on a commish basis is likely to be too much - given that most of the new boys just charge a straight fee. lol

Talking of commish - what do Foxtons typically charge??? 1% seems to be about the norm now but perhaps they can go lower on the big ticket dwellings???

NY -Well we don't have much of this year left.... - It is quite tough to see why the London market in particular would rise after either a Brexit deal or no deal at all. Even with an agreement - just can not see how traditional type agents would really benefit, for the reasons ventured above. People are fed up of paying rip off commissions. So v happy to have a friendly fiver that the share price on 31 December is closer to 50 than 80p ! Good luck to all...
