hillofwad: Well "that's a statement of the obvious" Well its a factual one that sales at the gate are not living up to the hype and yes a rising tide lifts all boats but its a little more than just students just hating them Its been along time since they were cutting edge.Jon Hunt and Peter Rollings have been gone a long time What is disappointing is their failure to tap into the BTR and New Homes Market They should be the developers go to agent The share price trajectory here unlikely to match other listed groups .CWD are the stand out buy for me Switched most of my FOXT shares to them
hillofwad: "Bricks and Mortar" Sure its all about getting in at a decent entry price for the future but are Foxtons the force of old? The assumption here is that Foxtons will continue to take their fair share of instructions .On the sales side that hasn't been the case. They have only enjoyed a small window since lockdown to make up for lost time They have only sold about 370 in the last 60 days. That is less than 5 per branch and that was picking up the slack for the previous months as well and now heading into another challenging period
asagi: surprised the reaction to this news hasn't been better: any buyers previously had a ready supply of stock at 40p or so from Caledonia: now they will need to go elsewhere. Where? Asagi (long FOXT)
kmann: insane buy volume, foxt underrated imo. 6 month consolidation avrg 40p, prior to this recovering to 80-90p. 95-100p resistance before 175p rerate imo or premium buyout at 120p
srpactive: I am so very surprised foxt is not moving a lot higher, but there you are. active
the fat controller: So what's the solution? Presumably Foxtons have to advise their vendors to drop the price?
roddyb: I have no idea why you think he is a loser as I am watching your wild predictions tank. The Foxtons share price and your recommendations are nothing short of ugly. Rather than displaying self-confirmation bias, why don’t you re-visit the share price history and recalibrate your “buy-o-meter”?
hillofwad: Https:// One of the problems with someone like Foxtons is as highlighted in the above article on CWD is the current fee earners have little skin in the company How do you retain the very best fee earners and keep them on message to remain on the premises rather than tread water and use Foxtons as a springboard to go elsewhere ,clients and instructions following ? You would have thought with the share price languishing at below 40 p some good share options for staff would be a fair prospect to keep them mean and keen The senior executives seem to be overcompensated especially Nic Budden who trousered £1.3m pa whilst the company performance is less than sparkling
pre: could be a takeover target at current share price - cheeky bid offer was mentioned by earlier poster is not out of the question imv
citytrader66: sorry to read of your loss funkmasterp12. i had a sizeable loss on CWD in the last week or so.. i dipped my toe just under 80p and within a week the share price tanked to sub 40p and muggings here buying on the way down but never caught the bottom. so my question to all here - which the better stock to buy? this or CWD with an unknown placing / RI price coming up.. FOXT share price close bang on a support level today. if that breaks 2moro then theres going to be more downside. i'll have to use what charting skills i have to time my entry if i'm buying here.
