13/5/2004 19:30 | Chart is sending out mixed signals to me, so thought it best not to add comments and let people make up their own mind. | gateside
13/5/2004 19:29 | Cambium.... Posted the chart so that I could analyse the chart and I thought others might be interested to see the chart too... just trying to be helpful ;-) | gateside
13/5/2004 19:17 | And your point is Gateside | cambium
07/5/2004 13:52 | Paid over the current offer for a T25. Seems a reasonable bet to me... DW(S) | davewheelershed
07/5/2004 13:44 | Tinpot Dave - since we're analysing evry trade how come you paid over the current offer?! Anyway, hope your last comment right coz I can't work out why they are valued so low. Weird, ever since buying in I keep seeing Fountains vans etc in Bristol where I live. Nationwide customer base - close to 1000 employees, high visibility forward revenues to 2010, backing from US multi-national whose happy to pass UK work over to them, and current yr forecast revenues in the bank. No wonder institutions are queuing up to get in. | allseeingeye
07/5/2004 12:56 | LONDON (AFX) - Tinpot punter Dave Wheeler has had a little a punt on fountains PLC. In the statement Wheeler says; "it will go like a steam train" rn | davewheelershed
07/5/2004 12:37 | Yes... better put out another RNS ;-) | gateside
07/5/2004 12:35 | Do I take that as an official invite to the party Gateside??? DW(S) | davewheelershed
07/5/2004 12:32 | You got me excited when i saw ther were 6 new posts, thought there must be some news... Anyway glad to see I'm not alone here on this one! | gateside
07/5/2004 09:16 | Unbelievable. I am selling right now... | davewheelershed
07/5/2004 09:13 | LONDON (AFX) - fountains PLC said chairman Barry Gamble will wear a green tie with matching braces, bringing his stake to 12 matching outfits. A statement said the clothes was made to meet institutional demand. rn | cambium
07/5/2004 09:06 | Oh.... I dunno Cambium. But I am very excited to see.... Wonder if there will be a separate RNS...???? DW(S) | davewheelershed
07/5/2004 09:03 | Hello people. And Cambium... ;-) Bought into FNT today. Suprised these are not higher given the recent 80% statement and the tips and the like... Cool - Now we can all debate every little trade that goes through and speculate on weather the chairman will wear a blue or red tie on results day! DW(S) | davewheelershed
07/5/2004 08:33 | FNT are doing a great job at the Arlington Business Parks, not sure whether this is a contract that has been awarded recently or not. Good showpiece for new clients though. | cambium
26/4/2004 12:37 | I bought in to FNT last week at 130p, very supprised by the pull back in price, so took advantage. Will look to add more before those forthcoming Interims. | gateside
22/4/2004 13:54 | Dipped my toe into FNT yesterday! The I/C tipped them at 126p and then followed them up after the agm with a "keep buying" at 141p. The recent fall in the share price seems to be have been a tree shake of the highest order by the mm's. Overall, volumes have been rather thin, just a case of the mm's shaking the weak holders out. With 80% of FNT's business secured for the year at the AGM stage i'd be very surprised not to see them come in ahead of expectations. Oh well all will be revealed come late may/ early june as they report their interim results... GD | gd150772
22/4/2004 06:29 | TD, pure speculation on my part re vote. | bbbbb
21/4/2004 21:46 | Alllseeingeye You are quite right it is the Interims in June and not the Annuals. Someone produces the Interim numbers even if its only the FD, so accountants/auditors who cares, they do not get conjured up out of thin air. Even more the surprise then for me ( having read the ICs Tip - also giving similar info on securing 80% of this year's sales tgt) that the share price should subsequently fall and not rise. Today, 'Sells' outnumber the 'Buys' in volume by (approx) 2:1 and 3:1 by trades; all told nothing special in the actuals numbers traded. So the puzzle remains as to what triggered the initial fall. | azalea
21/4/2004 18:36 | 5b The chairman sold the shares. The ex director who probably wants to sell all or some of his shares, still retains his long term holding. As for the chairman wielding too much power in any upcoming vote, could you elaborate further? | tday
21/4/2004 18:29 | Perhaps the chairman selling 450,000 shares a couple of months ago is significant, because I don't necessarily wear the statement that it was to satisfy institutional demand. That number of shares is piffling to an institution. Besides, isn't an ex director a major shareholder - in excess of 15% - and probaly wanting to reduce his holding but can't except to an institution(s). | tday
21/4/2004 08:39 | Allseeingeye... Thanks for your input. I never said Finals were in June, just results, but thanks for being more exact. With many contracts in the order book, this should be a fairly safe investment. I was supprised that the price shot up on little news and so it is not supprising that it has drifted back down, it has just happened a little quickly. Agree that many Small Caps are retracing at the moment, and I'm sure that is a mixture of profit taking, as you mention, and stop losses. It is beginning to look very tempting buy at these levels, but there appear to still be a number of sellers around, so I'll be playing it safe and will still be monitoring for a while with the intent to Buy in for the longer term. Good luck on whatever you decide. | gateside |
