29/6/2021 11:38 | Think these may have now turned the corner. All the bad news is out and hopefully we can gently move forward from here. These type of renewables stocks and general infrastructure stocks take the place for me in what would have been the bond positions in the old 60/40 balanced portfolio format. Also hold a few property stocks but still my greatest portion tilted towards global equities but currently with a UK bias. | ec2
21/6/2021 16:39 | Topped up to my full quoter for these today taking advantage of the remaining stock overhang. | ec2
21/6/2021 16:27 | Not sure how relevant but an interesting read: | spectoacc
19/6/2021 08:11 | Not hanging around for the dividend @Typo56? ;) | spectoacc
18/6/2021 20:16 | I picked up some FSFL at close today. It was the biggest gap down in the auction of any of the FTSE changes, with 2% of the company uncrossing. I'm hoping for at least a bit of a bounce next week. | typo56
18/6/2021 15:41 | Having sold 50% of my holding last month in advance of FSFL being relegated from the FTSE-250, I've gone back in today at just below 96.50p. Index funds need to be out of the stock and rebalanced by COB today, hence the downward price pressure. Hopefully more positive price movement going forward from here. Didn't actually put my full amount back into FSFL as I liked the results from NESF yesterday and so put some into there as well. Interesting comments coming out of the NESF investor call yesterday. The view, as has been mine for sometime, is that the consultants forward electricity price projections are too pessimistic and are not in sync with actual forward prices in the electricity market. The consultants appear to be taking a far to cautious view. My thinking is if the consultants start to bring their projections into line with actual forward market prices there could be some hefty re-ratings across the renewable sector. | ec2
16/6/2021 12:04 | Thought their would have been a trading statement, as it's the AGM today.Market not impressed, neither am I.Little sign of any future capital gain to share price and still trading above NAV. As soon as dividends make up the shortfall in the slight capital loss I have here, I'm selling these. | gateside
15/6/2021 13:18 | AGM tomorrow | gateside
24/5/2021 21:38 | Long term dropping out of the FTSE250 is not likely to cause an issue but I think there could be some volatility next week. As the shares are very liquid, trade on a narrow spread and there is no stamp duty to buy back in, I sold half my holding today with a view to possibly buying back in at a lower price. I had a limit order to sell at 99p which was a price that worked for me and triggered at 16.01 this afternoon. | ec2
21/5/2021 19:25 | NESF got demoted in the last reshuffle, and it hasn't had much effect on its share price, if anything it has done better than FSFL which is still in the ftse250 Looks like both FSFL & JLEN will both be demoted from the FTSE250 at the next reshuffle. | gateside
21/5/2021 13:59 | Any thoughts on this funds likely demotion out of the FTSE250 at the next reshuffle in a couple of weeks, in terms of impact on SP? Some funds holding this will therefore have to rebalance. I haven’t been holding this long, and not a large holding so still around break even. Wondering whether to hold or twist. | gbcol
17/5/2021 15:40 | Thanks for the updates. Share price might not do much going forward, but a solid 7% yield here, which was confirmed for the year ahead. | gateside
17/5/2021 15:33 | near term electric prices look very good for FSFL. This year they have hedged 50% of expected sales at 44GBP I think, whilst 2022 is looking at maybe 70 GBP! "Similar movements were seen in seasonal power contracts, which averaged 6.9% higher, as winter 21 and summer 22 expanded 8.1% and 7.8% respectively, rising to £84.46/MWh and £62.50/MWh." hxxps://www.edwt.org | llef
17/5/2021 08:08 | NAV out at 91.9, down from 95.8 Reasons are very similar to BSIF "The decrease in NAV over the first quarter is largely attributable to a downward revision in the medium and long-term power price forecasts during the period (-2.3 pence per share) and the recent announcement of the increase in UK Corporation Tax to 25% from April 2023 (-1.3 pence per share), which is assumed to remain unchanged thereafter for the remaining useful economic life of the UK portfolio assets." Bit disappointing, but the forecasted power price seems to quite volatile, and obviously depends on the quality of the models.... | llef
05/5/2021 08:51 | BSIF figs out, NAV down 2p due to changed future price power "estimates", and down another 3p due to proposed corporate tax changes. I imagine FSFL will see similar reductions in NAV in due course too. | llef
04/5/2021 13:36 | Electricity day ahead auction prices as shown by NordPool have so far this year been consistently higher than those of the previous two years. Can't speak for what prices will be ten years out, but they're more than holding up in the near term. Div should be more than well funded this year on the basis that last year it was fully covered even with the much weaker elec prices. Looks like there will be plenty of capacity to lift the div with inflation and some more. | ec2
04/5/2021 12:23 | Can now be bought for a dividend yield of 7.25% | gateside
30/4/2021 12:37 | People realizing other than hydro that green energy is a scam? Ie the fossil fuel energy required to build from scratch and maintain and have backup traditional power means they will never reach full payback. Better stick with nuclear and fossil fuels and hydro where possible. | purplepelmets
30/4/2021 11:43 | Anyone know why the price is drifting down? | yam114
28/4/2021 10:34 | Goes Ex-dividend tomorrow - 1.73p | gateside
20/4/2021 13:58 | Added a handful more at just under the quid mark. XD coming up a week on Thursday FWIW | cwa1
25/3/2021 11:52 | Ian not buying yet still looking | portside1
09/3/2021 20:24 | Only real benefit is that FSFL have a 7% dividend while TRIG & UKW it's about 5% | gateside
09/3/2021 20:07 | NAV still at the level of the IPO though. TRIG and Greencoat UK Wind are much better vehicles in my view. | topvest |
