So has sentiment improved that I can take Mcsean and bonio off filter yet?

That's true in the rear view but I expect we'll attract a lot more volume if we break and hold above 8p. Good grief but what an awful price for the placing... still a buyout at 40p might still be possible. I hope.

5p is better than 7p if buying 😁
Anyway

McSean

Agree with your sentiment overall, the recent activity shows a renewed confidence/enthusiasm by FBT... Perhaps a POC with a large company that is proceeding well?

FBT, for the last 18 months, have been squeaky clean re statements so I believe the CEO but cautious about timescales.

7p is better than 6p which is a lot better than 4.75p and I think you are right to be optimistic.

The fact IM is confident of several £1m + deals says it all.

The fact he had to raise £5m to see it through suggest they are not happening in the short/medium term.

bonio/ paul,

Fair enough, I'll retract my statement. Although, "In business accounting measures, short term is a period of time of less than 12 months".

Agree, it's probably just a vote of confidence, however, I am still hoping for a deal before year. There may be budgets departments want to spend especially in government sectors before year end, maybe they'll spend it on Blackbird. Anyway, I'm running away with myself, still happy with the recent news flow.

Yep - so once everyone forgets he bought some shares and there is no magic deal - back to 6p.

Agree, the CEO stated short-medium term for contract wins, generally that would be taken as 6-9months minimum.

A director can't buy if there is an imminent large deal around the corner.

Doesn't mean there aren't any - just means they ain't happening any time soon.

The one thing I would say on this front is that IM bought after the pitches. He spoke of big deals, it may well be that a big deal is on the horizon and he didn't make it up. If that's the case and he's topping up in advance of something he declared publicly, which was posted on the web, then it might be a happy Christmas for all. Otherwise, yep, could just be no news until Mar/ Apr.

Hoping for the former and a deal completion announcement before New Year.

There is no news. Same as the fundraising and options, there can't be if IM is buying. This will fall back.Look to Mar/Apr and finals for more newsflow.

Agree, by this time next week we will know whether there is genuine interest or another false start.

A sudden share price rise backed on no news? Have seen these come and go over the past 3 years. If She holds, it would be the first time. Hoping we would reach at least 14p in 2019.

... and going with the flow is exactly what most big companies do. Who remembers when the only computers likely to be approved for purchase were IBM because that way if things went wrong the CFO and the IT Director kept their jobs. It's still the same over 30 years on.

"BBC letting the U.K. down?"

British Beancounting Corporation. Penny wise and pound stupid it would seem. Willing to blows tens of millions on a bespoke system that didn't work because it's backed by a big consultancy yet too timid to invest a fraction of that for OTS market leading tech. Perhaps it's down to decision makers who can't see past their own pension pots and put too much faith in large corporations. Have some sympathy, can't be easy for a media organisation of that size to plot a course through today's changing technology landscape. Just as well they have the taxpayer to fall back on for funding. Perhaps the most cost effective strategy for their ilk is to simply wait for the biggest guns in the market to slog it out re the tech and just go with the flow.

Could get embarrassing for the BBC if a US TV Network picks our Cloud technology after a POC trial.

BBC letting the U.K. down?

Just a thought

As stated before and by others, all of a sudden (past two - three weeks) there has been a sea-change with regards activity:

- Twitter feed by Mr Streater and @blackbird are buzzing
- CEO share purchase
- 2 x Investor presentations
- News of soon to be Technology update
- Contract win albeit small
- Mr Streater is blogging again

There seems to be something bubbling under the surface

IMHO
