You've got to ask yourself why JD paid 70p per share when the prevailing market price was less than half that amount. Would they have paid that much if they expected the share price to remain below 70 for long?

square.

I'd take the average not the high they paid. If they got some at 50p, 70p and 75p, take a bit of working out what average is as different sizes bought but lets say 62p was average, price when I looked was 53-54p, for me I thought missed the boat and not worth the risk especially in this market, people are reluctant to chase spikes no matter what the news, that is why the sellers got on top and the price has drifted back down to 45p

Waiting for the stale Bulls to depart. Unfortunately a lot bought on the first drop so happy to leave at this level. Next buying wave will start soon enough. MMs happy to fill those orders at this level.

Dave,The fact is someone has been happy to pay 70p for the shares TODAY, and in large volumes. It matters less who they bought them from.

We know 75p is the benchmark set by JD it may not get there today or tomorrow. One thing is eventually if there was a bid then we are looking for 75p plus.

Thanks Dave. I would have thought PI's would be all over it though for anything upto 75p. Surely the JD price gives a very good indication of where its heading?

squarepeg

They did not buy in the open market from market makers. They crossed their stock from other large institutions.

That is why price is not trading at same levels as highs paid. It's simple a normal day of pi's v the market makers, if nobody sold and pi's chased it could in theory get to 70p but pi's do not hold long these days, you have the traders taking a quick profit and then all those that gambled below 30p will have come out to take a big profit too. Hence why it's struggling to get over 50p

they have already bought more. Keep an eye on the trades. 70 and 75p buys were after the rns. So they intend to buy the whole lot imo. gl.
