mhin2 ...why are you refusing to see what is blatantly obvious. If you don’t pay Pilots you can’t fly, if you don’t pay for fuel you can’t fly , if you don’t pay maintenance you can’t fly , if you don’t pay airport authorities you can’t fly .

What are you going to pay with if you have NO MONEY. If you have assets you sell them .

whats app...the Bod could have rejected a joint offer from Virgin/stobbard, refused to sell slots to IAG. As it is/was the price has value for the bods careers/egos/status/ but none for shareholders, and I am not convinced for passengers or staff.. But we could go an debating this. The credit card companies seem to have been the big probles, POO has fallen and the pound is expected to strengthen ...etc.

mhin2 . Bidding process has already taken place , only one bidder made an offer.

As for value. How do I say this , this company has been losing money over many years and continues to lose money. Only things have got so bad credit card companies are withholding money, oil price going up, debt going up, wages been paid and more then likely trade credit restricted.

Without a bid , there should be no doubt this company faces bankruptcy. There should be no doubt of that by now.

Minerve, I would a)like to find out what has happened here b) a battle of alpha males may expose this and possible we may find out what the true value of flybe is. As it is the BOD has sold us short for a connection to Virgin/Stob. That to me seems like a great idea but it puts little or no value to the flybe proposition, which Virgin and Stob clearly think Flybe has. Virgin/stob dont want this to slip otherwise they would not be accumulating flybe assets in the way they are, not agreeing to buy off IAG by selling gatwick slots.

I guess a battle would be fun, but I would rather they settle their differences and move on. Stobart has good opportunity. Tinkler has obviously made a significant contribution in the past. I wish he would just be content with that because from a personal PR perspective he seems to be damaging his image after all those years of seemingly good work.

The way i see it, and i haven't a clear idea tbh, it's like 2 shops next to each other ,and the Flybe shop has moved all it's inventory, been bought out, by the shop next door, yet the doors are still open and the manager hasn't kindly explained wtf purpose they have for trading and keeping the old shops doors open,
just the purpose intention of the new brand,
anyone can define it properly pls do

Clever move by Connect. The £2.8M is just forward purchase from themselves. The sale is still £2.2m. Some papers reporting this as an increased offer. I think that is wrong.

sandcrab...agree, flybe had a lot of revenue, and debt, but not unusual. Sure POO hit them and £ devaluation of pound, and cashflow problems cause by credit card processing companies....surely not un-manageable...

whatsup...I am actually interested what will happen here. You might find it peculiar but I am fascinated to find out how this is going to end (either way). Nevertheless, I am convinced, and its obvious, there is conspiracy (normally, I think, it would be better cloaked/hidden)
