My thoughts too, always a problem. Last time it was maintenance issues.

The same every update...

Always something negative in there.

The extremely poor weather in February and March however led to airport closures and flight cancellations across the UK and near continent. This particularly affected Flybe as all our flying is within this area. We had to cancel 994 flights due to weather in Q4 compared to 372 in Q4 last year. As a result, we anticipate this to have an impact of around £4m from lost revenue and additional care and assistance costs on cancelled and delayed flights. Coming so late in the financial year means that this added loss will be reflected in our full year financial results.

There will be an update next week, not sure what date but confirmed to me by someone at flybe. will be interesting to see how the bad weather has impacted H2 metrics, as well as comparison on forward trading.

AM: Its possible the bad weather helped FlyBe as perhaps people travelled to London direct by plane rather than catch train through northern snow drifts. Anyway you look at it, London City Airport broke records (not LPs)...

I don't understand the 32p thing if that is the short bottom them one would expect rush to close shorts around 34p leading to bounce to 39p so what is the incentive to sell now

bcfcruleok - nothing exciting - still weak imo. No decent volume either.

My target remains at 32p

hippo: Its high risk to watch on the side lines - the market can move fast. I always think, if I'm interested, I should at least have a small flutter in the pot - so if I miss the big win, at least I have a small win.

Obviously do not put your life savings or even a significant percentage into Flybe, but if you are interested enough to watch, then its probably worth bunging in a few quid. I mean what you are doing is like going to a horse race and not bothering to have a flutter. It seems a waste to me.

Currently, due to the ongoing mini-correction there appear to be quite a few small punts worth doing - perhaps flybe is one of them.

My view is shareholders need to concentrate on the recovery story now......if it can carry on as prior to the potential takeover then all good.Cold snap might have derailed things a little, and we all know Flybe finds some reason to disappoint......will watch from the sidelines, unless it dips further.

Barvin, I feel they may look at something else more digestible initially. Flybe is a very big addition, 2500 staff, c80 aircraft, £800m revenue. The others I mentioned are a fraction of that scale....

STOBART'S STATEMENT VERBATIM

"As previously disclosed in October 2017, we have been reviewing alternative structures for our airline and leasing business that CAN PLAY AN IMPORTANT PART IN THE CONSOLIDATION OF THE REGIONAL AIRLINE SECTOR.

A number of potential structures have been considered including taking a non-controlling interest in a vehicle to acquire 100% of Flybe likely to be in cash. It is not possible to say, at this stage, whether a transaction will take place, whether a firm proposal will be made or, if it is, the form a transaction to combine the airlines might take.

CONSOLIDATION -May not be over.

The statement reads like Stobart's probing at this stage. Time will tell

So Jersey are you saying Stobart will move on and ignore this now?

CityJet is the likely next target due it's being PE backed. But apart from adding some aircraft and wet lease contracts it doesn't add any material brand value or provide too many synergies to Stobart. The other candidates, Eastern, bmiRegional/Loganair would value their businesses far too highly in fundamental terms to be realistic targets, but may be of sufficiently low £'s value to enable Stobart to afford them.
