Agree, I see any offer falling in 60p-80p, I don't see it going to a £ (unfortunately). Premium would be way too high. I'm not sure if any others would be interested in making the process competitive.

At 60p it's a better deal for the buyer than the seller imho, run properly this could be worth £1 - £1.50 a share.

Another decent run after press coverage 2moro I'd imagine.

If Stobart et al have been running the numbers then they'd be looking in offering 60p plus I'd imagine - forget historical pricing.........

(At 60p it'd be a hell of a premium over VWAP over the last 3 months.......)

Anything sub 60p wouldn't get a look in I'd guess......

I hear you, but any cash offer will be a premium based on a VWAP over a period prior to today. I know its not what longtermers want to hear, but if they can get 60p, that'll be good, 70-80p+ and I'll be quite impressed. Consider the shareprice has been in the dog house for sometime.

Big buys coming in.Surely at some point there will be no stock and the share price will spike much higher to tempt sellers.Boarding at gate now, get ready for the flight up in share price.

Share price was £3.50 in 2010 !!!

I imagine some holders have forgotten they hold this disaster of an investment.

A takeover should be well north of 50p otherwise why bother, the business has a decent balance sheet and should be turning itself around, the company is supposed to act for shareholders after all.

Lots of buying now seems punters do not want to be out of flybe over the weekend, I am sure we will have comment in the press.

A FLYB newb here, interested in a cash bid from Stobart and hopefully one or two others. But the potential turnaround looks to be on track too looking at previous RNS from FLYB.

An interesting stock to watch in the next few months that's for sure. Giving it a punt before getting back in RBG around mid-April time, hoping I can take a larger pot before their potential bidding action starts again.

Agree with dangersimpson2. Personally, I will not be happy with any bids south of 90p.
Some excitement at last. Congrats to anyone who got in below 40p.

Interesting development, lets see what happens. 60p looks a little high in my opinion.

DTG have the package holiday business, which I believe is no. 3 behing TUI & TCG. No chance for Stobart to do anything there. But definitely drive business and generate efficiencies going forwards with Southend and long awaited start of flights from Carlisle airport.

Are Stobart looking at a DART(DTG) type business model, could they get involved too to put alongside Jet2?

For me...its not a time to sell.... hold / Buy .. the games are about to begin!!!!Current price is low. I would like to see a much higher price before considering selling, turnaround at early stage.All imho of course.K

Any takeover would surely need to be over 60p otherwise this would be getting given away.

Blimey, that took about 10 goes to buy two blocks of shares for personal and pension fund.

A great punt this one, especially with cash offers. An interesting one to watch

Frankly I'll be annoyed if Stobart Air take over Flybe anywhere near this level.

While I think the new Flybe Management have done the right sort of things - improving IT, cutting excess capacity etc. the reason the share price is where it is is because they failed to communicate to the market their strategy. They finally start delivering revenue growth which should push them into strong profitability but then decide to spend all the cash on extra maintenance. That might be the best thing for the business long term but it should be communicated ahead of time as a strategic priority not surprised on the market as an after-thought.

If there is a bidding war and this goes for £1+ then I'll take it back but as it stands it is going to get bought out just as the turnaround starts to happen and with the upside going to new owners not shareholders.
