highlander,

HERE WE ARE! Now that was the easy bit. Would I buy now? I'm not sure. I need to believe that the US$ will stabilise first. I might have a nibble.

Your 80p prediction is getting closer. The falling Dollar could
make it imminent!!!!

The chart indicates that the price has bounced off 88p or thereabouts 5 times since autumn 2006. This seems to represent the base support level. price fall also seems to have levelled off in the last month or so. It could represent a good buying opportunity at present, with prospect of a good rise up to results

Clearly yesterdays tanking was overdone.
A bit of free money today, for those
who took notice of the after-trades.
Violent pattern reversal, the stock dislikes these levels.

This is a heavily traded stock, hence all the AT trades.
Buys and sells pretty even. MM's only one's making real
money off this at present.

The share price will continue to fluctuate until results or confirmed
news sets a price level. Bid now???????? Doubt it.

well I think today scotches any rumours of a bid , heard it from two sources last week , classic pump and dump it seems . ahh well

Now with the market recovered the bidder will come back but it will not be less
than 130p.

The D.Telegraph will get the rumours back on again.
Well they were not rumours as the bidder backed down because he could not raise
the funds to buy it but this time it will.

The 7% increase in sales as also the strong order book (hence the dirctor buys at 95p) is very tempting and very sound business for the bidder to re-launch its bid.
Also the dividend will be raised as the profits rise.

Results are planned for the 29-Nov-07 and they have now be entering the close period.

I expect we'll see 130p before long.

I am a long term holder of FKI.

Intraday profit taking in view of a downward footsie.
Multiple entry/exit points, with proper tools and quick reaction.
Todays statement ought to be digested and commented favourably.
Evolution Securities (28/09) rates FKI : "Buy"

The trading statements are very encouraging and at the risk of being repetitive I think the current price offers superb value especially for a potential takeover at sub £1.

However, there seems to be continued resistance to any significant rise and I cannot decide if that is prevailing market conditions or soemthing specific to FKI.

As always any informed comments are appreciated.

From over the road at munney am
Engineering group FKI said its first-half operating performance improved at the group level. The improvement was driven by a 7% increase in sales on a constant currency basis.
The company said strong performances from its lifting products and services and energy technology divisions in the first half more than offset reductions in its hardware and FKI Logistex units, adding that it is well positioned to improve its trading in the current year.
FKI also expects improved performance in the energy technology and lifting products and services units to more than offset any potential further weakening in US demand.
The company said though order intake at FKI Logistex unit was about 25% ahead of last year, turnover was down about 10% at constant currency basis following the rescheduling of some major projects.
FKI expects the volume reduction and a higher proportion of relatively lower-margin integration projects to reduce the Logistex unit's profit performance in the first half to below last year's levels.
The company said it will announce its first-half results on November 29th.
In reaction, Landsbanki said that FKI's pre-H1 close trading statement should provide the market with considerable reassurance and the share price should move ahead strongly.
The broker added that, as indicated at the preliminary results, Energy Technology and Lifting Products are enjoying buoyant markets and that performance at both divisions has more than compensated for continued weakness at the group's Hardware and Logistex division.

Are all the AT sells this morning shorts being
desperately closed to minimise losses prior to
the real price surge??

MM's will have to move the bid up over £1.10 if
they want to keep on carving this dripping roast.

P.I's will not enter the game in any volume until
they are back in potential profit area!

Too many AT's and not enough OOOOOOOOOOOOO's!!

True to form - this share is being traded up and down
between 88p and 97p. No justification for the fall!
Just MM's making money in a stagnant market.

Technically speaking,90p is a good support level, having breached it only twice in the past few years, before climbing back up.imho.dyor etc.
