01/2/2007 17:59 | Mind you, I know somebody who went from being an astro-physicist to driving a bus. Apparently, he took to it like a fish to water. | orange1
01/2/2007 17:56 | True. It is one think being the chef of a 3 star restaurant. But taking over this business would be quite a different kettle of fish. | orange1
01/2/2007 17:44 | I thought the Gordon Ramsay rumour was a red herring. | jlabrey
01/2/2007 14:53 | There is no truth in the rumour that Gordon Ramsay is casting his eye over the company. I am reliably informed that he has bigger fish to fry. | orange1
01/2/2007 12:04 | Buying shares in this tiddler is about as safe as swimming in shark infested waters. On a more serious note, this company has been seriously underfunded from its Ofex days onwards. Only Roy Morris was keeping it afloat then. They raise 4 mio on their transfer to AIM but that was never going to be enough given their expansion plans. Maybe in retrospect a (lobster) basket case from the outset. | orange1
01/2/2007 12:01 | Why take the bait then Barn Owl? | orange1

31/1/2007 19:35 | I walk past the Richmond site every day as I work near there. Its in an alleyway off the main high street & rarely has more than a few people in there at any one time. | tonyx
31/1/2007 17:20 | Wiganer, re your post no.19 above, I think that you and I both put some thought into the investments we make or don't make, but we shouldn't be surprised if from time to time we come to different conclusions about a stock - and if we both have quite firmly held views, we may disagree quite loudly at times. But it doesn't mean that we can't respect each other as serious investors with something worth saying. I'm always interested in reading your ideas, even on stocks I don't want to buy ! As I live in southwest London, I'm looking primarily at Battersea and maybe Richmond but I know the Islington branch - quite near there on Upper St I'm friendly with the owners of Ottolenghi, which is a good place for lunch, followed by a browse in the bookshop overlooking Islington Green. | tiredoldbroker
31/1/2007 17:10 | Is there any porpoise to this thread? | hammy davies snr
