03/10/2018 21:07 | There were 10 nice looking diamonds in that report, looked fab, just need a few more | astjgroom
02/10/2018 16:03 | Think will keep adding a few at this price, a few buys struck today at full ask | davethehorse
02/10/2018 10:03 | Ab, Naughty! :-) | andy
02/10/2018 08:24 | Maybe that is where the diamonds have gone...."in to the bottom drawer" | abtwo
01/10/2018 15:40 | Varrirob, well done, they have certainly put some effort into their reply to you and there is more detail than the usual "we are doing our best" rubbish most companies normally send out to shareholders. I'm not too impressed they are attending Indaba, given it takes place in Cape Town! I would be more impressed if they were doing Mines and Money London, or PDAC personally. I bet there won;t be many shareholders attending Indaba, even I don't go down there. | andy
01/10/2018 13:33 | Well done Varrirob> Nonetheless the reply whilst gained, is somewhat moot. Nothing will increase this share prices except the two following; 1) Increase in grade and cpht 2) And or subject to above,,, share buying. As for the beautiful mine plant pictures, and i agree they are, not that you allude to them; and how lovely the construction, it's irrelevant. FDI owe 90 to 95 million, and is breaking even, not good enough, it needs Big diamonds and in the next few months.. Nonetheless appreciate your kind reporting, no criticism! Regards Tan PS., yes i still hold,,, too much. | tanelorn
01/10/2018 11:51 | Waste stripping costs will be an ongoing issue if the average diamond price stays low, so yes, some high value diamonds are needed ASAP. Interesting to see the pit development photo in the results presentation PDF - they are certainly getting down into some deeper parts of the deposit. In summary the concerns are: 1) Much lower grade than forecast. 2) Lower diamond price 3) More waste stripping required Lower revenue + higher costs = poor outcome! | abtwo
01/10/2018 11:46 | Thank for the post Rob ? | davethehorse
30/9/2018 21:24 | And a bit more: Dear Robert, I forgot to mention that we will definitely attend the Mining Indaba early next year which is the premium event of the year for juniors like ourselves operating in Africa. Best regards Deborah Langridge | varrirob
30/9/2018 21:23 | Reply from my last correspondence. Dear Sir, Thanks for your query and also for your loyal support. We have announced our year end results today so that will provide you with the most up to date picture of where we stand at the moment as a company. Since taking over from Stuart Brown in July, I have spent a lot of time engaging with Firestone’s main investors, analysts, brokers and board members to understand their perceptions, frustrations and ambitions for the company. There clearly is a sense of disappointment in the share price performance over time and it is my job together with the rest of the Board to decide on a way forward for the company that reinvigorates investor interest and appetite. You can rest assured that this work is in full swing including a thorough review of our Life of Mine options. Our aim is to conclude this work by year end after which we will be in a position to conclude and share with the market. In the meantime the positive production momentum of FY2018 continues on the mine. We’ve just completed our first full year production and will use the rest of the new financial year to mine across all the kimberlite facies to conclusively determine the diamond value which is the main driver of the business case. Your patience is appreciated. Kind regards Paul Bosma CEO Firestone Diamonds | varrirob
29/9/2018 19:11 | tanelorn, I was hoping you would so I wouldn't have to! :-) | andy
29/9/2018 13:31 | Did anyone glean anything,, i didn't listen in. | tanelorn
28/9/2018 22:13 | The presentation will be available for download from the Company's website: or by clicking on the link below: | andy
28/9/2018 20:22 | You are,, turn-up,,, it's quite civilised, no suit required, ( i shan't wear one ), smart casual okay,, plus you get a free coffee and a biscuit,,,,, if, Rob's not eaten them before hand ;0) Bonus; you get to see me make a fool of myself,,, that's almost worth the journey? | tanelorn
28/9/2018 16:04 | Results pretty much more of the same from what I can tell at first look but still reasonably optimistic going forward | davethehorse
28/9/2018 09:27 | Andy, agreed. I have sent a little reminder to them that we the long suffering PI need some hope for the future. I don't class myself as a keyboard warrior but FDI seems to bring out the worst or best in me. Depends how you look at it. | varrirob
28/9/2018 08:15 | Varrirob, There are two types of companies that market at M & M, or the various promotional "channels" such as Justin the clown at Vox markets, or Proactive or Shares Mag. 1) A company that is doing very badly and is desperate to pull in a few mug punters. 2) a company that is doing very well and wants to shout if from the rooftops to create and maintain investor awareness. FDI don't fall into either camp | andy
28/9/2018 08:06 | carat to dollars remain soft | tanelorn
27/9/2018 23:27 | Had a quick look at mines and money expo and no sign of FDI. In fact they are so poor at company marketing that unless you knew about them in the first place you would be hard pushed to find any really marketing info anywhere. No interviews on any stock investor channels, clearly not at the mining and money, in fact not a lot at all. Maybe the logic is that you have to have a tangible asset to promote before you can promote it?? | varrirob
27/9/2018 18:22 | mdalos, Come to the AGM and ask the management! | andy
27/9/2018 15:04 | Tanelorn, Agreed, anyone "on the team" would at best ask a loaded question, only independent PI's ask anything of value. Even then, in my personal experience, you can't always take what is said at face value! | andy |
