@pottermagic2310 : I doubt it, unless they are totally underplaying this I suspect for the sale they should get their modeled ROM price of ~US$107.

Abtwo,

Yes you would think they would do that immediately wouldn't you?

Talk about failing to capitalise on good news!

Pity they have not put a photo of the recent big diamond on their website!

tanelorn,

Exactly, they're hardly unbiased!

Guess house brokers recommendations aren't worth much !!

Not sure when FDI put up their "Latest Pictures" on the Media section of their website however, if I have oriented the map in the Resource Statement correctly, it seems to clearly shows them mining in the high grade / big diamond K5 ore unit.

biggles,

That thought had occurred to me too, let's hope we're wrong!

I agree. Hope they haven't done it this was to smash shareprice in order major shareholders provide funding at artificially low shareprice. All my opinion but getting more sceptical regarding AIM as days go by.

biggles,

If they had put it out before the last RNS it would have kicked the price up a bit, possibly reducing the fall after the bad news.

It does seem a strange way to do things, it's hard to believe they have just found it!

Need a few more of these, at least the frequency isn't too bad, there are certainly more to be found, the bigger the better.

LibraG,

I guess that's crossed a few people's minds!

Mine included!

Fall was probably overdone anyway so anything that arrests the fall and bumps share price up is welcome. Lets hope they keep digging up these larger stones on a regular basis!

Biggles,

Indeed!

The effect would probably have been a rise in price, which would have had less impact when the bad news was released.

Hmmm, I think I read they got over a million for the last one? Am I imagining that? Tried to search earlier but couldn't find

Nope, light yellow diamonds are not what they need - large, D color, Type 2A are needed to boost their average diamond value.
Seems this 134ct diamond may be similar to the 110ct one found in April. No mention of what price the 110ct diamond went for however the diamond sales to the 30th June only averaged US$77/ct.

Need to wait and see what:

1) The current lenders say,
2) How much further funding may be required,
3) If they can get further funding and at what price,
4) The view of Pacific Road and Resource Capital as major shareholders,
5) If they can chance upon a big, quality stone??

Given the experience of the board management team I am surprised they were not aware of the potential downside risks here. They continue to use words such as "expect" and "anticipates" so still lots of uncertainty here.

Hard to pick the low point but I don't see any substantial recovery for a long while yet. I'd say next stop is testing the all-time lows of early 2016 - around 17p, but no rush to buy IMO.
