I wouldn't worry about them.

I read every feasibility study available in Lesotho as I was looking at Paragon diamonds.

From reading up I warned PRG was lying and they were suspended. I did suggest PRG folk buy FDI at 17p due to the stones found in the study and the higher CPHT. IT seemed a very low share price fully funded to go to full production and it turned out the market agreed.

I also thought and commented that it was a bit toppy in the 50's due to risk of delay news and the fact CPHT and $ per carat would be lower on tailings. That's going by what the market does than the reality of the mine.

It seems a fair bet to me based on the history that they are going to hit a few big stones once they get going.

GEMD

I gave warnings on that thread too re pending dropping $ per carat as it's low CPHT highly reliant on the big stones. The share price has taken the expected hit and without big stones the $ per carat will drop future due to old sales that have supported recent levels. Any continued lull in big stones there and the $ per carat will tumble until old sales/finds stop going through the books

I wish I could forecast all shares that way but the data in Lesotho was there for all to read.

I have been lazy on this one as I know you have a finger on the pulse.

Now it's a case of waiting to see who is to acquire Lemphane but that would need a study first.

I suspect a new arrival will get that, too much on Firestone's plate imo unless you know otherwise.

Out of curiosity to your recent negative posts i took the time to read your historical contributions to this thread, and all your previous posts seem to rejoice in the most miserable interpretation on any event.

Do you have a grievance with this company ? - Do you actually have a position open.?

P.S. I've made enquiries and 1m is extremely unlikely,,, unfortunately that was advised in confidence, sorry.

@bigglesbingham "I bit of research suggests 1mill but it depends on quality colour etc"

I tend to agree, as they indicate it is light yellow in colour (Cape coloured) then $10-12,000 per carat may be the ballpark figure given the size of the stone. Though not sure about any internal flaws etc.

From Firestone back then

Since late December 2011, three large approximately 100 carat gem diamonds have been recovered in fragments indicating breakage is occurring in the plant.

Another report with the CEO suggested 10 large stones had been pushed by the old kit.

Did you look up the 3 big stones they found and broke in the study. That's why I track this one. I feel sure they suggested around $19 mill worth crushed up with a doh!!!

Can only guess re that yellow one, typically white premium type II a would be $50k to $60k per carat but that one would be less. Not sure it qualifies as fancy yellow but they pulled out 3 big stones (broke then) in the study of about 500k tonnes plus as I recall.

I'll look it up if you can't recall it.

As there is a clear history of large fancy yellows from this deposit, this is unlikely to be a one-off. I think the market is slowly beginning to twig.
Furthermore, they are, I believe, only about now moving onto the better ore.

It's the frequency of these finds that's going to help and they've only just started.

No comparison between rough & cut unfortunately... that £57m reflects the quality of the end product & craftsmanship contributed to its production.

... but we're definitely in the money and hopefully many more of this nature to come

Happy Days

How much is 110 carat worth? Very promising as not in main pipe yet.

Firestone must regard this as pretty significant to warrant its own RNS, and bullish statement with it. All sounds good to me.

They found 3 big stones in the study but broke them. I assume the new kit keeps them intact. From memory I think they had those 3 intact as about $19 mill worth.

Tane may recall the details.

'diamonds as big as yer fist' now being sold at discount price in HK. $71m but still at knock down price. Where's ours? 2006 placing promised 'fasands of em'. Still to transpire.

One belting diamond will propel this to 70/80 convinced of it. But what do I know .

Panmure Gordon reiterate to 68p with a npv of 80p based on 9.6% discount. They were on site in Feb and their very recent research note (28/3/17) discusses the two auctions,..... worth reading. Their figures and reasoning exclude upside potential of exceptional stones, whilst acknowledging probable potential in this regard.

Macquarie reiterate within the last week at 70p short term target.

Ab,

Then that question needs to be asked, you're right, it's not clear, and the cynic in me suggests the way he worded that carefully.

SB said in full : "...I am not holding goods back in an attempt to second-guess the market". This does not mean they may retain goods for another reason.
