well if all the raw materials prices including energy, as shown in these charts, are falling then it seems likely we'll have some decent results and so on the back of the FD purchase i've added another 8K today. FIF is one of the few shares i've held in it's entirety over the recent fall out, it's now very much my biggest holding. I also think it'll be a safe play over the summer as we negotiate some choppy waters. Added to that i've taken a fair amount off the table recently to preserve profits and have to find a home for the cash so i'm looking primarily at good yielders and note Aleman seems to be doing similar having invested in PHNX. (forgive me if i've got that wrong Aleman) Chart looks good too.

Strong breakout, engulfing candle pattern and rise in rate of change, slow stochastic and ADX looking strong too as is RSI. All indicators look very stable so we could see a substantive move up this time. Woody

Very positive director buy :)) Directors' Dealings The Company has been informed that on 10(th) June 2013 Crawford Currie, an Executive Director of the Company, purchased 41,000 Ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 56p per Ordinary Share. As a result, Mr Currie's total beneficial holding in the Company is now 136,238 Ordinary Shares, which represents 0.21 per cent. of the total issued share capital and voting rights of the Company.

lightbody finance director buying above the offer. fill your boots time maybe? i like it when the FD buys that's a very good indicator aimho. I've tried a few dumy buys recently and not been able to get a quote over the TD platform, phone only or leave in the market so i guess they're short of stock maybe. Someone seems to be mopping up any sales. Woody

Chart looks very promising for completing closure of the gap and turning 60p into support. After that, I would say FIF look good value on recent numbers but no longer clearly undervalued, and 70p looks a harder nut to crack chartwise.. Fundamentally, (with plenty of numerical analysis in support in my previous posts) I have stated several times that I found it hard to believe how low Cenkos' EPS numbers were, although management here always seem to get forecasts they can beat by a small margin. We have a pre-close trading update in about 6 weeks and results in September. I'm optimistic we will be above 60p in the autumn on fundamentals that suggest numbers will be slightly ahead of forecasts, i.e. earnings more like 7p. THe chart looks like it is anticipating decent news in the next updates in July and September and making its move early. Other food companies I have compared FIF to, making it look cheap, have seen shares move up a bit further. Just look at Greencore's share price chart. So FIF looked a bit undervalued relative to others and the others have moved up a bit more.

yep i don't doubt that the cakes sales will improve with decent weather but i also feel when we've had such a prolonged bad spell there's room for a treat on the table, just a little something to cheer you up;-)) Not heard from the boffster for a while has he sold up and hibernated;-) b2 you're most welcome. Like to flash the pans myself, can't let mrs woodcutter in the kitchen, to delicate:-)) Indian and Thai my favourites and the umbrian italiano stuff too. Not a cake baker though, that i do leave to the wife. Aleman anymore thoughts on PNX since the results. Post on the thread and i'll pick it up there if you have. The share price looked to have broken out of it's immediate range. Woody
