15/7/2013 09:47 | Great TS, despite tough trading conditions the Company are making great strides - I'll be surprised if we don't broach 70p by Friday close. | spaceparallax
15/7/2013 09:07 | What a complete stroke of luck for those investors that subscribed 3.8M in private offer for shares at lower price ? ...hope they didnt have any inside info ---- and for the dirs. who got...was it....20% of the company via options at 21p.... | smithie6
15/7/2013 08:37 | Yes, very good news here. Our patience is being rewarded after 5 years of pain. Hats off to the directors to turning this around without diluting shareholders of material value. I think the dividend is a bit on the low side though. I was expecting 0.75p anyway. Nevertheless, if they start from a low base it should be progressive from now on. Only £10m of debt...how good is that versus the c£50m of 4-5 years ago! | topvest
15/7/2013 07:57 | The FD sees the numbers first! The business is still on the up. Increased investment and reducing debt is impressive. | this_is_me
15/7/2013 07:49 | Break out the champers guys, looking forwad to another leg up today. The finance director purchase seems well timed. Aleman you'll be able to buy a farm load of salad;-) Should be an interesting day. Profit expectations for the financial year ended June 2013 are significantly ahead of expectations Debt and interest costs significantly reduced Increased final dividend recommended Woody | woodcutter
12/7/2013 13:31 | Aleman you're beginning to look like a rabbit! Looks like you've done well on PHNX today. Woody | woodcutter
05/7/2013 18:28 | I've done a salad and sandwich shop again this week and next week looks like being the same. People in my bit of Yorkshire are starting to ask about drought orders due to the low river levels, although reservoirs are still respectable. Farmers are mechanically watering crops here. It's been very dry and sunny since April. Weather should be playing right into FIF's hands. I believe it's now the best summer since 2006. | aleman
04/7/2013 20:34 | Yes, sounds sensible given the growth and margins in this business. | topvest
01/7/2013 09:38 | interesting news | spaceparallax
20/6/2013 17:45 | Agreed, we're on a very strong upward trend with supporting fundamentals, reducing debt and good growth. The reducing debt is a virtuous circle that is leading us towards exponential improvement. | spaceparallax
20/6/2013 17:32 | Hold em tight imv dyor etc. | battlebus2
20/6/2013 07:41 | What can you say about the recent share price rise? Whatever's behind it, long may the rerating continue. I think it'll be interesting to see how it holds up today though, in light of the Fed's aim to moderate QE this year, and potentially end it by mid-2014. Not that I know of a direct correlation between US QE and FIF (?!), but I'm sure sentiment will be hit hard today, and risk will definitely be off. If the FIF share price does show resiliance, it'll be especially impressive, imho. Happy to be corrected if I'm spouting gibberish though. | dashton42
19/6/2013 18:46 | WOW - this is going great guns. Great news for LFI as well given their substantial holding. | topvest
19/6/2013 15:46 | My crystal ball says news is coming very soon, long before 90p Woodcutter :)) | battlebus2
19/6/2013 15:39 | I think the Investors Chronicle website posted on the 13th about the director buy. Perhaps that has drawn in a bit of buying. | aleman
19/6/2013 15:31 | Yum yum, the long awaited price correction continues apace. | spaceparallax
19/6/2013 15:22 | I'm wondering if anything in particular is driving the shares up. Food commodities are very subdued which may help margins as contracts come up but I suspect the weather is helping sales. It's been rare in recent summers where I do a weekly shop where I buy for summer, i.e salads, sandwiches, ice cream, extra juice and beer, etc. but I have now done it a few times this year. It's been unusually sunny and warm here for about 7 weeks. (We need more rain for the plants and lawns as it has got too dry and rivers are low.) I reckon it's looking like the best summer since 2006 in Yorkshire if things don't take a sudden turn for the worse. I always thought FIF's forecasts seemed unduly cautious. I think they were going to be beaten slightly anyway but it's now looking like we could add in slightly better margins and higher turnover for at least a couple of months into the mix. | aleman
19/6/2013 14:36 | yep agreed there Aleman, i think we're all happy bunnies. It's looking like it's going to be a long but rewarding enterprise. I always figured we'd make our way up towards 90p over a couple of years and i still think there's more in the tank. | woodcutter
19/6/2013 10:53 | Enjoying the ride! | dashton42
19/6/2013 10:17 | Continuing to move upwards :)) | battlebus2
