22/8/2012 21:07 | good to see better volumes on the trades - hopefully these will get to 10p before the next newsflow.. :) | alanrex
22/8/2012 19:59 | I think it is all there in the interims, the turnaround is progressing. The poorly performing divisions are improving, eg kitbag and the education supplies biz and are back into growth. The catalog business is performing well and management are making all the right moves there. Granted the turnaround is slower than was originally expected when current management took over, however if you compare recent results to previous progress is def. afoot. GLA | fugwit
22/8/2012 18:01 | Could it be that people think that Christmas purchases will soon be arriving, and FDL will profit from it? | dcomd99

16/8/2012 12:23 | I make that a new high for 2012 today. FDL have been coming on very nicely since the interims. At this rate it may be time to think about adding in the not too distant.......Good luck all. | fugwit

26/7/2012 08:40 | Seems to be a reasonable update, sounds like Kitbag may finally have turned the corner, hopefully being cash generative going forward. The long slow turnaround continues, and management continue to execute to the stated plan. Nothing to complain about here imho. | fugwit
26/7/2012 07:49 | not a bad update here. my original ones are in the sock draw, but i may pick up a few at the bell. | empirestate
26/7/2012 07:33 | Sales on the up. Things looking good all round, forward P/E less than 3. It looks now to be a fairly certain survivor and should have a share price above 10p. | this_is_me
06/7/2012 08:31 | interesting some more early buyers following on from yester | empirestate
06/7/2012 00:38 | i wonder what sparked the run of buying ealier today. | empirestate
12/6/2012 08:51 | The Education business would make a nice bolt-on for NWS. | lord gnome
12/6/2012 07:33 | Sales up 1%, net debt up 1% and operating profit down by 21%. Pretax profits up by 52% to £10.7m (£7.0m) due to a 48% drop in financing costs to £10.2m (£19.7m). This fall in finance costs was entirely as a result of the rights issue and fundraising completed in March last year. At yesterdays closing price the shares were circa 42% below the rights issue price at that time. Express Gifts (18%) and Healthcare (2%) increased their operating profits which declined in all other 4 divisions, resulting in an overall fall of 21% for the group as a whole. With net debt of £230m, they are going to have to make some further disposals in due course to reduce this net deficit position since this is not going to be significantly reduced by increased profitability in the forseeable future. Ultimately I can see the Group retreating to a core merchandising operation of Express Gifts & Kleeneze (53% of sales) with the disposal of their Education, Healthcare and Kitbag operations in due course. | masurenguy
11/6/2012 11:18 | Would be nice to make the break above 5p Have waited long enough | billybankrupt
10/6/2012 11:06 | Yes, but what is the NAV? Results will be interesting... I'll be disappointed if the share price is not back over 4p by the end of this week | knigel |
