NMC Health could turn to market for cash

Monday April 13 2020, 12.01am, The Times

The administrator of NMC Health has raised the prospect of returning to the stock market to fund the troubled hospitals company’s rescue.

Last week Alvarez & Marsal was appointed after an application to the High Court by Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, one of NMC’s biggest creditors with an exposure of almost $1 billion.

Court documents show that Alvarez & Marsal believes that if a restructuring of NMC “is achievable, it may be desirable to continue to make use of the company as a listed entity to allow the group access to equity funding”.
