11/2/2021 09:23 | The Siemens GAs facility at Newton Aycliffe was a disastrous investment for Filtronics which destroyed the company and led to David Rhodes Retirement. They were burning £16m per month over several years but without producing a successful product. Meanwhile the Shipley site which had made them money and generated new business was starved of funds and unable to respond to customer enquiries. Unfortunately many of the people who were responsible for that mess are still with the company. As for comparing it with Kromek don't go there. Kromek is in a completely different business area and has its own problems. | estienne | |
