Why would you think there is a big buyer? There have been a few 100,000 trades over the last few weeks. Not sure that could give any hints?

Conversations seems.to heading towards extreme speculation here!Our big investors didnt sell on the spike to 30 odd p a few years ago and have topped up since. I doubt they are going anywhere

If the money is more useful elsewhere and losses can be set against future CGT it can make sense to sell and move on.

The trouble is you have private investors with sizeable stakes. They have purchased at much higher prices so cant see any offer being enough.
