26/10/2018 13:32 | Anybody who was invested here before the SCSW herd arrived will know that Rob Smith is never one to over promise. In the longer term his cautious approach will serve us well, although I do understand that it does not go down too well with the punters who bought in looking for a quick 20% and who probably never had any intention of holding for much more than a month ! | mesquida
26/10/2018 13:09 | This could quite easily readjust without news, once the conservative nature of the rns has been properly digested. As beeks said its a quality company and with very good potential. Shares are temporarily discounted and today plenty of savvy buyers are snapping them up. | toby hall
26/10/2018 12:39 | 15p always looked likely once 20p went. Invest east you can afford to lose and forget about them for 12 months or so imho. Trying to time trades is not easy and even if you do there is no guarantee you will be able to buy back in the size you want. PE is now 25 or so which is fairly cheap imho considering the potential. | allstar4eva
26/10/2018 12:28 | FTC supply the antennas; the IP in them belong to FTC. They do not share IP as such with Nokia. My understanding. | gerihatrick
26/10/2018 11:40 | Did anybody at the AGM get a feel for the amount of IP ownership FTC has on the joint product with Nokia re. 5G. Can Nokia manufacture the product independently and FTC still generate IP royalties? | angus17
26/10/2018 11:37 | I wouldnt expect you to be sat on a loss for long. This is a quality company run by honest, quality people. The market will readjust accordingly as newsflow increases. | beeks of arabia
26/10/2018 10:53 | Its pillocks like this that make companies uninvestable for the long term. | beeks of arabia

26/10/2018 09:25 | The statement reflects the caution of the CEO-imo! His demeanor is cautious and he is not an extrovert whose enthusiasm dominates the conversation. Nor does he dominate the Board and he clearly has a good working relationship with his team and let's each get on with their job-again-imo! This is in contrast to the previous CEO of NCC-and look what happened there! I think the key is the unpredictability of contracts arriving rather than a steady stream. They have hi tech expertise; they can adapt to the requirements of 5G and they are in a good position to meet the ever changing demands of this next step in tech. Just look at City Fibre and their roll out plans! I am holding and may well buy more when the contracts roll in! | gerihatrick
26/10/2018 09:12 | I would say 13p is where the support is chartwise. I would buy there on a bounce | volsung

26/10/2018 00:41 | yump I think the share-price had risen to c. 16p prior to the SCSW tip, but I think the subsequent dart to nearly 30p may well have been largely down to their write-up. (I get the impression that their readership may be quite fickle so some of the subsequent drop was probably to be expected). gerihatrick Thanks for your update from the AGM - very much appreciated. You mention that Nokia have TWO suppliers for mMIMO - was it definitely only two I had presumed it might be significantly more - that seems very positive to me, unless the other supplier is likely to have a majority of the business - I assume there were no clues there? Also I think the market assumed that the guarded nature of the statement meant that they couldn't be sure of meeting the current year expectations (0.6p EPS as I understand it). Whereas, given the background, I rather read it to say that whilst they still think it is coming they cannot yet tell us that things are about to take off (actually I exaggerate my bullishness slightly there). Was there any "vibe" as to which interpretation of the statement was intended? | kazoom
25/10/2018 19:12 | Love the review Gerihatrick - thanks I liked the update but see many thought it too reserved and cautious! I guess the question is what would you do? Here is a company with enormous potential who have taken a chance investing a lot of resources into future technology. Now through their own skillful planning they find themselves positioned to take the future appetite for 5g by the horns! But all they have to show to date are a couple orders - the first green shoots coming out the ground if you like! So what would you do - State the company expects to double or triple its output in the next year based on orders not yet in? To me the update read like expected. If you've got eyes to see it there is an undercurrent of excitement deliberately subdued as to not run away or give any hope that cannot be substantiated. As for the share price - I don't like it going down but if it drops again tomorrow I'm topping up! | gr4nts
25/10/2018 19:11 | This is as honest a company you will get! Unfortunately in todays quick paced spiv based investment arena, it counts for nothing. It rose too quick, and now needs consolidation and a slow move North as news flow increases. I saw nothing in todays statement of concern. | beeks of arabia

25/10/2018 17:10 | gerihatrick, thank you I have been in and out of FTC for many years and have a soft spot for the Company. They have 'done me proud' in the past and think they may well do again. I'm very comfortable to hold too as they are both profitable and cash generative. Cheers Baz | bazworth
25/10/2018 17:05 | I have my maximum amount which I hold in any company in FTC and am comfortable holding. There are risks in any company but I do feel they have a real chance of doing well off the coattails of Nokia as they move in the 5G world. The US is the key location for this and the presence of a US based team and sales manager is key to that. If they do well there other parts of the world will follow. | gerihatrick
25/10/2018 16:51 | Geri - after attending the AGM were/are you tempted to add to your position? What was your gut telling you after looking these guys straight in the eye? | tomduck
25/10/2018 16:18 | Yes, thank you indeed, gerihatrick. | mesquida
25/10/2018 16:08 | Thanks for taking the time to feed back from the AGM gerihatrick. | tini5 |
