One of my big 4 holdings and the one I expect to begin to motor soonest
Quite like that there is a little less speculation and poster defamation than on some boards . Guess as news begins to flow we will find our singing voices.

Me - I do. I've been building a position for some time, though clearly should have taken profits at 30p when I was sitting on 89%. Doh.

The chart remains positive, and the macro picture for 5g, extremely so. I haven't sold any - yet.

Who owns the shares? So quiet on this bb? Look at VRS. So saturated with pis that people are discussing stuff 24 7 about the company. Why are some bb so quiet? Only serious investors and institutions here?

Totally agree bazworth, in fact I really do worry that we might suddenly see somebody pop up with an Offer pitched at say 35p or 40p,and judging by the way that the Board have recently stepped up their PR efforts (corporate videos etc.) I suspect that they too might be worried.
But as regards the possibility of Nokia being a bidder I would have to say that this has not been their modus operandi hitherto.

We stand a very good chance of seeing very impressive growth over the next few years & we don’t want to be bought out too soon!

Last year they announced a trading update along with the AGM statement - hence me thinking they may do the same this year!



AGM Statement and Trading Update

Filtronic plc (AIM: FTC), the designer and manufacturer of microwave electronics products for the wireless telecoms infrastructure market and adjacent markets will make the following statement to shareholders at today's annual general meeting.

Trading during the first quarter of FY2018 was broadly in line with management's expectations for both Filtronic Wireless and Filtronic Broadband. We are pleased with our continued progress in developing new opportunities with existing customers and the further broadening of our customer base and end markets.

We were delighted to announce recently that Filtronic Broadband had entered into a second major supply agreement for the defence and aerospace market, and as our customer wins more contracts, we expect these to flow through to us. We have also secured a number of smaller pilot and development contracts that we expect to lead to production orders later in FY18.

Filtronic Wireless continues to build an exciting pipeline of opportunities for antenna products with mobile network operators and our established customer base of telecoms original equipment manufacturers. We are working to convert these opportunities and will update the market as we progress. We continue to receive a steady flow of orders for filter products from our telecoms and public safety market customers.

Yep AGMs rarely reveal anything that drives the share price Possible but unlikely.

They often use the agm day as an opportunity to update the markets.

I would have thought with all the 5g background noise, FTC should be trading ahead of expectations. Will be a tad disappointed if no positive RNS at 7am.
