dround87 - Yes and FEVR did better but the market expected more as it is considered a growth stock so 5 - 10% for FEVR is nothing to what is expected. IMO they may be pushing the SP to takeover levels.

T 34 22 Jan '20 - 09:22 - 1943 of 1944 Why bid now ???? In 6 months will be cheaper . Really? this is gone to Oversold Zone! Everyone is piling in because the shares are a bargain for a cash cow. It has dropped by 27% because targets have not met but it has generated 9.7% growth!!! Although it said 5% fall in sales...there's room for improvement ,more aggressive sales/marketting and probably merger/takeover/aquisitions.

This is like ASOS. Rocket prices and then the reality comes in. Same story From Sirius. Those poor people who put their money in hoping it would give them a pension and then the company is proposed to be sold out to Anglo American for 5.5p. I can remember when it was 50p FEVR has had its day. If it is the subject of a takeover I am not optimistic losses can be re-couped. Other opportunities in more stable stocks elsewhere.
Up to now FEVR’s institutional investors have been surprisingly loyal, imho. This latest update may see them finally start to reduce, which will be confirmed by RNS. Rumours of takeover talks could cause them to re-think....

what about it now being a takeover target at these prices Britvic ? Diagio ?

Are there actually takeover rumours? Or just rumours of rumours?! People have been saying this for years. I’m sure if Diageo (who deny wanting to buy a soft drink) and Pepsi wanted it, they could have put an offer for £30 in when the share price was £17 and it would have gone. Personally I hope Fever Tree keep their independence and just grow into a big company with their own subsidiaries. But let’s see...
Takeover rumours...It has long been talked about that Fevertee could be a takeover target for either Diageo or Britvic.Obviously Fevertrees market share in the UK has slowed, but then they are already the market leader and once you are at the top of the tree it is obviously more difficult to expand further. It is the American breakthrough which Fevertree have made that will be of interest as that is obviously a massive market.

could this be a takeover target ???

If it continues dropping like this, then a takeover is likely. Pepsico has been mentioned before. You never know.

Oh well OK! You should be fine then.Wetdream - fair comment. Actually goes back to my comparison with bitcoin as the bounce was caused when shorts were lifted after mention from China's president. Positive figures from US will likely see a similar response. I wish Chris would understand that I'm not totally bearish on this. I just recognise the risk involved is at an all time high with UK flagging. What would be a fair PE if US hits a glass ceiling early on? 20? 10? Then it's a takeover target! Needs to be taken seriously imho.
Undervalued according to what? It still has a PE of 40 on a pretty modest growth forecast. So why is it a takeover target? Too expensive. I don't doubt that good US figures will see it skyrocket. But at this point you can't pretend those figures are anything other than highly speculative. Hence why this isn't sitting at your frankly absurd valuation of 35 quid. Risk comes with a discount.

Sales definitely taking off in US. Increased awareness may increase chance of takeover too. Would like a trading update mind...
