llama1978,

I admire your positive slant on FEVR, but let's see what 24 March brings, recent chart action hasn't been kind, but we shall see. Good luck.

The question is, will pub closures mean people stop drinking or just buy to drink at home? I’m way more likely to have a g&t at home than in the pub.

Fever tree completely sold out in Waitrose. In Tesco almost gone, just a few bottles of light elderflower left , I helped to deplete that one along with some Hendricks on special at £25. It’s a great pairing. There were bottles of Tesco own brand left mind.

The world could adapt to alternative supply chains for sure. I guess we will never know if they seeded the virus intentionally or not but the fact is if it was contained in China and the people who caught it recovered then it would not have spread world wide

Hi hpcg,

Yeah, bit of a rushed selection. No denying that video conferencing’s come a long way since.
More a reflection on the company management in the comic strip.

wetdream - those are very out of date. Zoom is excellent, hangouts is OK once people have the bits and bobs added to Chrome. Apparently teams is as good as skype. The really bad ones are the conference room direct connection types.

If you like a laugh, and follow Dilbert, his take on video conferencing sums up how it needs a bit of commitment to work properly....

I’m drip feeding myself at the moment so I don’t need to leave the house... when are we going to ask for reparations from China who knew about this well in advance but did nothing until it had suitably spread around the world?? Revenge for trade war I think. Boycott China.

One way of looking at it! Although I'd worry about the small guys getting crushed by Microsoft and the like. Teams is the best I've used by a country mile.

I’d have thought that video-conferencing cos must be pretty safe bets!

It won't be soon llama. But consider drip feeding over 6+ weeks. Then you don't have to guess. Also I'm an investor in one of those companies. If you go down that route you need to be balanced with the rest of your portfolio. Please don't go all in on either! Could easily go bust. I'm invested in iag but my problem is who's going to bail them out if this drags too far? They are a Spanish owned company. I've kept it so if iag goes bust I will lose only 1-3pc of my portfolio depending on how far along we are. I'm drip feeding up to 3pc. Honestly if I were you and I mean this with kindness I would just drip feed a good FTSE100 tracker that pays dividends. Maybe check out Vanguard FTSE 100 (VUKE) and gain exposure to the whole market. Picking individual stocks in this market needs to be done with great care.

Might stick some money in TUI or IAG in a few months... most of my shares are with GSK but I want to diversify. Just waiting for the best time to buy in. Blink and whooosh no doubt.

Not yet, but this will be a buy based on cash. Most investors are thick and don't do any financial analysis, but follow the narrative. Companies, not this one, but there are some, are trading below cash. Staples plus net cash is fail safe IMO.

Bit of lateral thinking here:

Wonder if hand-gel needs a mixer?

True llama but IMHO you should be thinking blue chips and dividends. This is a very small gamble for me based on future growth potential but it's long odds at this point in time balanced by hedging profits.

The bubble has burst for now. But it will come back in 6 months or so, people will go out, go on holiday and celebrate again. Growth plans will reignite and life will go on. There are plenty of stocks that seem well below what they should be at the moment and I’d say this is one of them. It’s probably a once in a lifetime opportunity to pick up some stocks.

Sometime ago Castleford Tiger predicted an share price of £10.
That seemed far fetched, but due to exceptional circumstances, has come true.

For many, the FEVR bubble has well and truly burst and they won’t be returning.
Some instis seem to have largely ‘kept the faith’ and hung on, albeit reducing discretely.

So we wait for the Prelims. How on earth can they be positive, given the dire world-wide trading situation?
Shame, as imho their strategy was/is correct. But their timing couldn’t have worked out worse!

I mean this would need a rise now of 250% to put it back near its high point. Not going to happen this side of the apocalypse.

Momentum stocks like FEVR are largely driven by Automatic Trades which, in the absence of company-specific news, follow the FTSE, which is driven by Asia in the mornings and the Dow in the afternoons.
Recently they’ve been Down and Up, but are now Down and Down.

It’s hard to imagine that the Preliminary Results due 24th March canbe anything other than ‘below Board expectations’.

What does that mean?
How far below?
Will the sub-3% instis keep steadily unloading?
