here here bulltradept.

Going back years i was a sceptic on TA and ignorantly called it 'reading tea leaves'. I am a practising accountant early retired, so I did obviously lean towards fundies and dismissed everything else.

I then read the book 'Come into My Trading Room' and was sceptical, but by the time I had finished it I was hooked. Since then Ive added about 300 books on trading, and can honestly say TA as certainly improved my performance and returns.

I now class myself an 'all rounder'.

I think having both in your armoury helps you beat the market.

"In my opinion all this charting is nonsense unless you are a day trader. All this guff about candles and break points is irrelevant as soon as FEVR give an update which will be in a month. The people who buy in at today’s price will be laughing then."

Let's unpack this for a moment.

You seem to be saying those that day trade can use charts (BTW I do so agree with you!), however, you then seem to be saying it's the update which will effect the share price

Surely both can be true? I.e the update may well effect the share price but so can the sentiment, (which is represented by those candles).

Your reply welcome.

If you think global markets don't affect this then I'd give up if I were you

Or in that case then there must be something wrong happening at the company for the share price to fall - which is it ?

Global sell off of shares. There is no connection between the potential of FEVR and global affairs, unless we have a nuclear war. I would advise stocking up on premium gins and tonics just in case the latter happens, may as well die happy.

I cannot see any connection between arresting a Chinese and drinking tonic water.

These markets are going to be dragged down by the arrest in the US - massive falls later imho

nitiative Q is building a new payment network. To get people to adopt it, they’re giving away significant sums of their future currency to early people. They require only name, email, and an invite from an existing user. Here’s my invite link:

Yep spot on Sogo. I even admit to not fully knowing what some of my trading stocks fully do. Just think if you are only going to hold for a few days, and intraday trading its built on patterns and resistance and support.

I do say tho TA can help you with entries and exits on investment stocks for the long term.

I think most, if not all, TA is time-scale dependent.
Trading, or using it for investment entry/exit decisions, all depends on what time scale you view/trade-around and aligning your indicators with that time-scale.
I don't trade anymore so just a viewer from the side-lines.

Well we nearly got a hammer apart from the drop at the close, so its showing some sort of bottoming activity.
Personally I don't adhere strictly to the TA but use it as a good guideline.
I had the candlestick patterns taped to the bottom of my glass sectioned table but my daughter spilt a drink all over it (LOL) so I just go from memory at the moment.
I tend to look for shooting star tops and hammer bottoms.
Its interesting to note how many bottoms are indicated with intra-day trading, they clearly stand out on historical charts.

Yes - Declared National Day of Mourning.
I expect the market to recover sharply tomorrow due to last night very sharp fall.

Time for recovery. Dow and Nasdaq lost each more than 3% yesterday.
Today US markets closed but tomorrow there will be certainly a recovery.
FEVR is bound to benefit strongly as a very defensive stock too.
Only hope FEVR will go for a share split, say 1:5 next year.
