KYIV, Oct 7 Ferrexpo plc, which controls Ukraines Poltava and Yeristovo mining and processing plants, continues to increase its fleet of wagons, having received 50 new high-sided cars from Kriukov Car Building Works (KCBW, Poltava region) from the ordered 400. "Good news ... We've received the first 50 new wagons from KCBW out of 400 ordered. Thus, there will be 3,050 high-sided wagons operating in Ferrotrans subsidiary. The planned increase in the fleet of our own wagons is necessary to implement Ferrexpo's strategic plan to double the production of pellets within five years," Vitaliy Oliynyk, the logistics manager at Ferrotrans, part of Ferrexpo Group, said on Facebook. Was thinking these looked cheap whilst aware of the gossip about CEO. Glad I held off, but gonna watch 2day. Granted, CEO is an embarasment, but do steel mills stop rolling because of skullduggery at a bank? At this price I reckong his stake would get bought out double quick.... Hmmmm...

More recent news on the CEO. A Ukraine arrest warrant has been issued. The next stage noted is to issue an International arrest warrant. Https://www.rferl.org/a/international-warrant-being-drafted-for-ukraine-billionaire-zhevaho/30209246.html BB

Https://www.ukrrudprom.com/news/Spad_urovnya_vodi_ogranichit_perevozki_okatishey_Konstantina_Gev.html I hadn't realised the significance that the low water level of the Danube had played a part in the lower figure for annual sales for 2018, but of course Ferrexpo one of the largest freight carriers on the Danube. Quite a lot of detail in this link from UkrRudProm. Very one sided and damning of the Ferrexpo CEO. This is how the website describes itself. 'UkrRudProm is an information and analytical portal covering the events of the mining and metallurgical complex and the activities of financial and industrial groups, whose business is associated with the largest industry.' IF he owned the whole company the government might suspend Ferrexpos licenses.... / seize its assets HOWEVER the consequences of any state interference in a listed company would outweigh any gain - they could try to seize his shares in Ferrexpo.... time he moved on and stopped holding back a great company.

People are very relaxed that this guy had $175 million dollars of the companies money in the bank at the time it went bust. Guy is definitely a crook and has only his interest at heart.

When this headline surfaced a couple of weeks back, the notice of suspicion was 'regarding an investigation in Ukraine relating to one of the businesses he owned until 2015' which if correct, at least confirms that the company concerned is not FXPO.

I strongly disagree. If the CEO is in trouble this will go closer to £1.00.Don't forget he is a majority shareholder

Ukraine Seeks to Add Billionaire CEO to International Wanted ListBy Volodymyr Verbyany and Elena MaznevaOctober 9, 2019, 1:04 PM EDTUpdated on October 10, 2019, 12:00 AM EDTZhevago was named suspect in absentia, Ukraine's SBI saidThe executive has previously denied allegations of wrongdoing?Kostyantin Zhevago Photographer: Evgeniy Maloletka/BloombergUkrainian investigators have started a process to add Kostyantin Zhevago, the billionaire chief of Ferrexpo Plc, to an international wanted list after he failed to appear for questioning about his former banking business last month. The businessman was named as a suspect in absentia and investigators have begun court proceedings to find him, according to a broadcast of a press conference held by Roman Truba, the head of Ukraine's State Bureau of Investigations in Kyiv on Wednesday. The investigators will also push for similar measures abroad at a later stage, he said.?Kostyantin ZhevagoPhotographer: Evgeniy Maloletka/BloombergA spokesman for Ferrexpo reiterated that Zhevago hasn't received a notice of suspicion. Zhevago has denied any allegations of wrongdoing, according to a statement released by the company last week. Zhevago's lawyer didn't respond to calls and emails seeking comment.Ukrainian authorities have said they suspect Zhevago of large-scale money laundering and embezzling funds from a bank he formerly owned. The executive is the former owner of Ukrainian lender Finance & Credit JSC, which was declared insolvent by the central bank in 2015. An investigation has established that 2.5 billion hryvnia ($104 million) was siphoned off from bank and transferred to foreign companies owned by Zhevago, according to the State Bureau of Investigations. Two executives from Finance & Credit have been indicted.Last week, a Ukrainian court ruled that Zhevago must pay 1.5 billion hryvnia to the central bank to compensate for refinancing received in 2015.Shares of Ferrexpo, which mines for iron ore in central Ukraine, are down 51% since a peak in mid-April.
