Looks to me like a number of oligarchs friendly with the old regime are being hauled in for a shakedown. No cause for alarm yet imo, but worth keeping an eye on. Shouldn't effect comapnay but you never know with Ukraine. Obviously in an absolute worse case scenario of Zhevago being charged, convicted and divested of his stake, short term ramifications for FXPO would be bad but not fatal for the company. I am long but not minded to average down or sell at the moment.

Porsche - small miners?! They have one of the largest iron ore deposits in the world and are ranked third largest exporters of steel products. And their works are based in Ukraine - not exactly 'god knows where?' ftse 250 and were for a brief spell ftse 100. Not exactly AIM market small mining explorers of which there are many. For many, this share has offered up great opportunities - down to 16p and back up over £3 and sometimes large intraday movements. The main downsides have been instability in Ukraine, US/China trade war, corruption yes, that doesn't mean to say there has been any corruption at Ferrexpo. That is not proved or even generally thought likely. These will undoubtedly go back up over £3 and may hit £5 or even £6 by 2025 if you have the patience. And in the meantime they pay an excellent dividend. BB

The last time i owned these at 2 quid they went to 18p....i finally got out (almost 45K) four years later...nightmare, i dont know why anyone buys these small miners based in gods knows where, even the big ones like enrc are often bent, that was a ten billion pound company that wiped out its shareholders. Kaz another pos. Stick to Rio and BHP.

More of the same. Https://www.ft.com/content/79957230-e366-11e9-9743-db5a370481bc Leaves us no clearer as to the likely future outcome for the CEO in relation to his defunct bank. More uncertainty hand in hand with charitable fund financial irregularities. It's the doubt that effects sentiment and consequently the share price. But company fundamentals haven't changed. BB

Great article on the background to Ukraine's failed oligarch banks. This focuses on the ups and downs of Privatbank but nicely highlights the issues facing Zelensky and the pressure put on him by the IMF to clean up. I agree its a little vague, but the quote "notice of suspicion regarding an investigation in Ukraine relating to one of the businesses he owned until 2015" at least confirms that the company concerned is not FXPO. The fact that he has also publicly declared no wrongdoing is significant.
