09/5/2019 08:04 | A positive I hadnt considered. Iran sanctions heap further pressure on iron ore market Prices set to rise as country’s 14m tonnes of supply removed from market “Iran exported almost 14m tonnes of iron ore in 2018, accounting for 1 per cent of total seaborne iron ore supply for the year. We had expected Iranian exports to increase to 20m this year as a result of the Vale supply issues. Now, Iranian iron ore exports are likely to approach zero for as long as these sanctions last,” said analysts at Jefferies. | gordogecks
08/5/2019 11:12 | FXPO starting its move with the tight stocks of iron ore at the ports in China standing at 123m tonnes, stocks are going down by 2m per day ,according to Chinese steel experts there will be pure panic when the stocks go below 100 m tonnes in a fortnightstime | daveas
07/5/2019 16:19 | Iron ore price hits near 5-year high on supply jitters The price of iron ore rose to a near five-year high on Tuesday after the world’s biggest producer lowered forecasts for the steelmaking ingredient. Brazil miner Vale said sales of iron ore would be towards the lower end of a 307m to 332m tonne range because of a fresh legal setback. The company has previously guided to the middle of that range. Seems US/China Trade deal concerns outweigh such positive news. | gordogecks
07/5/2019 12:02 | foxy22, I was surprised too and thought about buying FXPO at open but held off . But most mining stocks hit today on low expectations of a USA/China deal after Trump's proclamation. | arja
07/5/2019 10:56 | Until new auditors appointed, new non execs announced, Blooming Land enquiry all wrapped up, tax bills paid in Ukraine and all uncertainty finally made certain, then this share will bounce around at low levels and represent a great buying opportunity to those with freed up cash. Wish I was one. I'd be lapping them up at this price. Timing is awful, given the price of ore. This share should be flying over £3.00. Might have to sell the house and free up some cash. Screaming buy in my humble opinion. BB | bellbottom
