Glavey, Customers want to know that a supplier can supply the service as agreed. In the case of FD, this service will primarily be the supply of young people on temporary contracts to various technology and financial markets roles. However, clients won’t care whether FD subsequently describes itself as a high flying software company to its investors. They also won’t care if FD employs aggressive accounting, invest in speculative start ups, create innovative related party structures with the apparent effect of inflating revenues, or pursue appalling governance practices. Most importantly, they won’t care if FD’s shares are overvalued.

It was the same with Autonomy. Their customers didn’t care that they were booking revenues too early - they wouldn’t even know.

735,234 traded. A decimation and whatever is going on we plebs will be last to know. iP issues ? Something not right and it smells to high heaven. Is KX IP secure or can it be taken on an memory stick and re-fangled?Looks like the goods just walked out the door. A fiasco

Sent market cap back to 2016 in 2 months. It kept sinking even after the good earnings report. Will they take any action to stop this decimation before approaching the lower end of 10s? When is the next call with investors?

65% collapse from the high. Not related to the FAANGs

Flybyknight - you don't have to worry about me - I am in from 250p so I have no concerns

This is a good company that is taking a huge hit due to the reratings of FAANGs and the fact that it has had such a strong last 5 years.

Patience to long term holders

Incredible the destruction of shareholder value since the so called "hit/short" thesis which the market has now accepted as having absolute validity. Once market cap reflects a basket case watch customers of repute stop renewing

"What have I not thought through properly?"

Well, obviously, your assertion that customers (clients) don't care about the integrity of the companies they employ.

(I had assumed you would be able to follow the discussion over a couple of posts or is this just a wind-up?)

It's oversold because nobody is buying. Sector not great but FD has beaten the sector downwards

53% down from ATH, and showed no sign to recover in the last 3 weeks. Touched twice 2240, now 52w low. Way oversold. Is anyone expecting a lower dip?

Given it suits your argument, you may have chosen not to think that through properly. But are you right to assume that no-one else has?

(It's not for the first time either, as in this hyperbolic example:

"I don't mean to be pointed, but here's the thing... and by the way, I'm being careful with my language here... It's primarily a services company with a forward multiple of 36x earnings based solely on AIM market IB research!")

A company's customers care only about whether it can deliver the product/service, not whether its management team are being fully honest and open in their representations to investors. Furthermore, procurement managers and IT professionals, as skilled as they may well be in their own fields, are generally not qualified to assess the legitimacy of a company's accounts, or the quality of its governance.

For around 20 years FDP have been working with some fairly well known clients. One might think that such clients would take into consideration 'questions about the trustworthiness of the management team'.

But then, as you mentioned earier, you are short FDP.

They are not a distraction - they are directly relevant to the investment case because they raise questions about the trustworthiness of the management team.

It absurd to say this company has major cash flow issues

Big problem for I is the revenue and profit per head

It just don't fit a software place

The other comments are just distraction on share profits etc

FCA will take no notice of accounting letter sent imho

mog I hope it go to 13gbp. It would be too low and then a complete buy
I agree with moorsie at that point even
