Appointment of Director

FBD Holdings plc ("FBD") is pleased to announce the a ppointment of an additional independent non-executive director.

Mr. John O' Dwyer has been appointed to the Board of FBD Holdings plc and FBD Insurance plc as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect .

Mr. O' Dwyer has held senior positions at BUPA, Friends First and Interamerican Group (Greece). Mr. O' Dwyer has recently retired from the position of Chief Executive Officer at Vhi Group, a position he has held since 2012.

The Chairman, Mr Liam Herlihy, said:

"On behalf of the Board I welcome John to FBD. He has considerable knowledge and experience that will be an asset to FBD now and into the future. I look forward to working alongside him in delivering for FBD and its stakeholders."

This announcement is made in accordance with Listing Rule 6.1.64 of Euronext Dublin's Listing Rules and Rule 9.6.11 of the London Stock Exchange Listing Rules. The Group confirms that there are no further matters requiring disclosure under Rule 6.1.66(2)-(6) of Euronext Dublin Listing Rules/Rule 9.6.13(2)-(6) of the London Stock Exchange Listing Rules.
