Samsung Jumps on Blockchain Bandwagon to Manage Its Supply Chain.

The world’s biggest maker of smartphones and semiconductors may use the technology behind cryptocurrencies to manage its vast global supply network.

Samsung Electronics Co. is considering a blockchain ledger system to keep track of global shipments worth tens of billion of dollars a year, according to Song Kwang-woo, the blockchain chief at Samsung SDS Co., the group’s logistical and information and technology arm. The system could cut shipping costs by 20 percent, according to SDS.

While companies around the world have said they’re planning to deploy blockchain technology on everything from cross-border payments to tracking the life-cycle of supermarket chickens, Samsung Group is one of the first global manufacturers to take a serious look at using the distributed ledgers in its operations. SDS is working on the system for Samsung Electronics, the conglomerate’s crown jewel.

A disappointing week for the share price and disappointing over a slightly longer period that has fallen below 20p. History shows this share needs strong news to move it north and hopefully this isn’t far away now.
The good news for today is that currently Aphria is rising sharply and is currently UP8%.

Blockchain certainly seems to be the future. Once they get the number of transactions they can process higher it will be THE storage system for pretty much everyone I think at the moment blockchain can process about 6 data transactions per second which is about the same speed bitcoin can operate at, although Sydney Uni is working on blockchain that can cope with 440k transactions per second The likes of visa can do 24k to around 40k per second . The funny thing is that guy Anil has worked as technology advisor to a lot of big organisations including the DHS in the past and its now DHS that’s looking into Blockchain.

Shirley. I wouldn’t think this would drop back as low as 12p. With Aphria shares and cash and Leap money that we will soon have. That ups our nav to 12p for the portfolio. That’s without factoring what our increase in Yooya and Factom is probably worth to it’s value. I would say our true nav is around 18p at the moment with an increase due with names and news from Factom or Yooya etc I believe the management believe it’s also worth 18p or so as that’s the price they would pay up to for the buyback. Which tbh did concern me at first. The fact that the management wouldn’t pay more than 18p a share.

That’s what I find confusing hazl. They say this blockchain is ideal for this type of record storage then the expert says he wouldn’t recommend it. Odd
