In the end a disappointing day closing down 0.5% on a volume of 3 million despite an early rise on the announcement of a new employee. Looks like we will have to await the next investment to continue last weeks rise. I don’t think we will have long to wait.

Spread now widened to 9.80 to 10.50 which suggests that the MMs have been concealing some of the buys for later publication, as frequently happens with this stock. My hunch is that they are now trying to shake out some of the weaker holders with the lower bid price to free up stock as the buy volume took off like a rocket around 9:34am.

Big increase in volume here since the RNS came out and up she ticks.Only one market maker on the ask at 10.40 so that price won't be available for long imo.

For once I have to give credit where it is due. This is a very good piece of business. They've recruited well and he is very well connected. It's good bits of business that start to add back credibility to the direction of this company.

FFWD is the only European quoted investment fund with a stated focus on the cannabis space and features a portfolio of leading companies including; Northern Leaf, Yooma, South West Brands and Little Green Pharma.

It recently secured an additional £5m in funds following the sale of EMMAC Life Sciences to leading US cannabis player Curaleaf. EMMAC was co-founded by Mr McDermot and FFWD had a 2.3% stake .

FFWD says this exit cash brings it total investment pot to over £12m with Mr McDermott telling BusinessCann its expects to see ‘additional liquidity from legacy portfolio assets over the coming months’.

Deals Imminent

Adding: “The likelihood is that we will have a larger cash position to invest, than is currently stated, over the coming months.”

He also went on to say that it expects to boost its investee portfolio to ‘at least six, in the very short term’.

In his new role Mr Pascual will focus on sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities in the European medical cannabis industry as well as supporting the growth of FFWD’s portfolio companies in the sector.

I have listened to it and Ed comes over in a very professional manner putting across how FFWD has got to where it is and his view for the future particularly in the cannabis area which is his clear passion. His immediate goals are a £50 million market cap followed by £100 million. The interesting parts are where the other guys on the podcast can express their views on value when Ed is precluded from doing so by AIM rules. So when they spoke about Leap Ed indicated he thought the £7.2 million was not the figure now but he couldn’t speculate on what it might be. One of the others guys chipped in but I can and I think it is between £30 million to £40 million.
They also thought that if FFWD’s £6.5 million cash was sitting in a cash shell the market would value it at at least £20 million and then there is the value of all our assets to be added to that.
FFWD came over as a very promising investment. Well done Ed.

A good week for FFWD Up 17% in a short 4 trading days. There was positive news on several investments but only back up to 10p. Let’s see if the momentum can continue next week because there is 50% upside just to get back to the 15p we saw very recently in February. The disappointment with the money received for EMMAC was a massive overreaction and the hot money departed. This left FFWD massively undervalued as it sits with a £6.5 million war chest and a Leap sale that could happen at any moment. My personal view is that the Leap sale will not disappoint.
