08/1/2019 18:24 | My best guess is that BlackRock sold out. Will see tomorrow by the RNS. | fntc
08/1/2019 18:21 | I reckon they bought them hence the announcement. So someone folded. Does it get them over the line. Probably imho | bomfin
08/1/2019 18:10 | Not 3% by my calculations oto1 | bomfin
08/1/2019 17:59 | Approx 16 mill shares traded at end at 160p If DNO bought all those then they have increased with approx 4,3% more. (sorry, I used 327 mill outstanding shares instead of 372) | oto1
08/1/2019 17:35 | If DNO can get this over the line then they will be very pleased with their purchase. They have played hard ball so much so I cannot remember a takeover with so many skirmishes between the target and offeree. IMO DNO have done enough, FWIW I exited at the time of the original offer and re invested else where. Been a holder of FPM for many years and it’s a shame she will likely disappear. | oli12
08/1/2019 17:24 | Jasper2712 If You could get 200p for Your Faroe shares I suggest You sell them for that. If this offer lapses You will soon enough see Your shares trading around 120 I guess. | oto1
08/1/2019 17:22 | I think this all hinges on Black rock now. Will hang on in here for a couple more weeks to see what happens. | funtimejonny
08/1/2019 17:21 | Just might be enough.... | thegreatgeraldo
08/1/2019 17:11 | Either that or they are getting desperate If your flat was valued in a home report as worth 185k but you should probably get 225k in todays market and then someone put in an offer of 160k what would you do. Exactly, what the Faroe board are instructing the owners of their shares to do. By the wording of this offer they are now getting worried about a counter offer, for a company which in their opinion is just ticking over and about to stall! | jasper2712
08/1/2019 17:07 | 'Must have struck some deals with major shareholders' ...NO not 'must have' as if so they could have just bought those shares today for 160 to speed things up. More like the penny must have finally dropped with DNO that the existing paultry offer on the table stood zero chance of success as I and others have been repeatedly saying. | bountyhunter
08/1/2019 16:55 | I assume also this is game, set and match now. They must have struck some deals with major shareholders. Thank God. Final offer with no possibility to increase. I can live with that. | oto1
08/1/2019 16:50 | Well if blackrock were sellers at 1.54 then surely they will get over the line at 160p. It’s all over IMO. | oli12
08/1/2019 16:48 | And there it is as I suggested! | nigelpm
08/1/2019 16:43 | A HUGELY generous improvement to 160p, final offer! | cwa1
08/1/2019 16:30 | You are awful but I like you. | bomfin
08/1/2019 11:32 | If FPM are just so awful...But DNO keep wanting the company.Ironic/ perverse | hopeful holder
08/1/2019 10:08 | Again, re, Oda, I think the field could be in trouble but! Coming on early will give pay out on investment quicker. The development wells have been drilled, they have the logs. They will have a lot more info. Spirit should update! and if not fpm because of bid situation should update. They have to at least give Spirit time to update the markets. DNO very preditory. | bomfin
08/1/2019 10:03 | Did Dno announcement today mention that Oda starting up early potentially gives fpm 1O million pounds additional cash flow in 1st half 2O19. When and if the Equinor asset swap deal closes fpm shall be swimming in cash. I expect fpm to announce a dividend. | bomfin
08/1/2019 09:46 | I am puzzled. Click on the links on the NPD news page to find out more. npd Factpages and norskpetroleum both still show Oda resources as 7.2million cm, not the 5 from the news page. Spirit Energy website doesn't go into much detail on anything. | hashertu
08/1/2019 09:45 | Brasse comes online in 2022, and that is a lot of days to count. That however suits DNO fine as DNO is more interested in future production than near term production. Which is why the Equinor swap did not meet their plans. With the future investment cost for Faroe being quite high I can understand that Faroe wants to reduce those, but DNO with it's cash flow is more keen on participating in larger developments and higher future production. A pity that Korpfjell drilling is not finalized before this is over. A finding there will probably change dno's future plans dramatically. | oto1
08/1/2019 08:40 | Still FPM are day by day moving closer towards 35k boepd when Brasse comes on line and 50k later on, anything else would have been a bonus. Which of course is why DNO is becoming increasingly desperate in light of their failing opportunistic and derisory bid approach. | bountyhunter
08/1/2019 08:33 | bountyhunter Of course I don't expect every exploration well to come in. However, Faroe is not such a big company that oil findings, or dry wells, has no implication on the share price. Different knowledge in the market about operations is not good for any company. | oto1
08/1/2019 08:21 | Newsflow from Faroe has always been fine. There is good information on their website about all their licences and numerous recent presentations to look at. Much better than most E and P companies. | rogerlin
08/1/2019 08:06 | Brasse East was dry but you can't expect every exploration well to come in (FPMs overall record is excellent so it's misleading to cherry pick the occasional dry one) and... "The Brasse appraisal well 31/7-3 A sidetrack, planned as a further appraisal of the northern part of the Brasse field, was drilled to a total depth of 2,254 metres below sea level. Preliminary analysis of the log data acquired whilst drilling, indicates the well encountered approximately 40 metres of gross hydrocarbon-bearing Jurassic reservoir. Both the reservoir depths and the hydrocarbon contact are similar to the pre-drill expectations. Further wireline logging is ongoing which will be incorporated into the final well results." | bountyhunter |
