13/1/2012 19:04 | Since when have this management played it by the book? I would hope that they should do so now given their previous track history of irregularities. | lr4850
13/1/2012 17:17 | Positive that a non-exec director has bought shares, but isn't the company in its close period (between year end and results)? This would mean that directors are not allowed to trade shares. | acquisitor

12/1/2012 19:40 | some wheeling and dealing. A good sign Vaughan hung on to his shares :-) | lr4850
11/1/2012 19:20 | A bit of share price action today, the first in a very long while. Good luck at getting in for 0.4 p so long as it goes up for me after. | lr4850
05/1/2012 17:47 | I will buy at 0.4p! I think the underlying investments must be doing pretty badly and I am concerned the management will "invest" the rest of the cash, so we can kiss it goodbye. I am hoping for a return of the surplus cash and a wind-up of the business before all the money is lost. | acquisitor
04/1/2012 13:21 | Seems like the market agrees with you on that. | natsbite
16/12/2011 23:57 | The track record of the team is a real concern. They have squandered millions over the years and may be tempted to blow the rest of the cash in order to be seen to be doing something. the only positive is that the company trades at a discount to NAV. As it stands, it would be better to break it up and return the assets to shareholders rather than allow the management to squander the assets. | acquisitor
16/12/2011 17:36 | It is not looking very good and nothing coming out from the company to indicate any progress. Is the cash still there? | natsbite
18/11/2011 14:46 | Is this the beginning of the end ? :-( | lr4850
08/11/2011 08:08 | The director bought my shares at 0.6p! All thanks to my broker's error. They would struggle to place 3.15m shares at 1.1p. If the broker had offered to compensate me the difference between the takeover price and 0.6p, I would have taken them. At that price, you were probably getting them at a third of NAV. I still own 1m shares bought at 0.6p a few months ago and will keep them, unless management start throwing the cash away. They don't exactly have a great track record in creating shareholder value. | acquisitor
07/11/2011 19:43 | well done, you were fortunate. How is it that Directors etc able to buy at 0.6. Not right.Beginning to wish i sold; hindsight is not so wonderful. :-) | lr4850
07/11/2011 17:53 | My broker accepted the share offer instead of taking the cash, despite my instructions. They sold 3.15m shares and credited my account with the money I should have received. | acquisitor
04/11/2011 18:24 | I will take that back, some signs of life, but not sure what it means except they look like sells. | lr4850
03/11/2011 18:33 | Probably regretting not having taken my 2p as there seems no signs of life in this share- no buying or selling trades going through for several days now. | lr4850
02/11/2011 09:21 | The big risk with this share is the cash that is going to be burning a hole in the management's pockets! There must be a temptation to show they are doing something with it. Otherwise, on fundamentals, the Astaire deal will have been quite positive for the balance sheet. It will add to NAV, as the upside in Astaire has now transferred to Evolve. I bought 1m at 0.6p and plan to hold, but did not accept the shares in return for my Astaire shares, as this was not a good deal. | acquisitor
11/10/2011 18:19 | acquisitor are you expecting upside with the astaire consolidation in place? | lr4850
07/9/2011 08:03 | Astaire up by a quarter and this does nothing! I am buying some more. | acquisitor
15/7/2011 23:50 | By my calculation, this is the bargain of the decade. If they realise 2p per share for their 53% stake in Astaire, that's over £2.2m, against a cap of £3.2m. That suggests that the rest of the portfolio of c£4m is in for £1m. And one of their biggest investments has rocketed up today (3D Diagnostic). If they buy back £2.2m of shares when the Astaire cash is received, they have £4 of assets per £1 of share cap. | acquisitor
13/7/2011 16:26 | me too. More to come I am guessing. ROLL UP...ROLL UP..Get your 2p's for 1.2p here and on ASTR | lr4850
13/7/2011 12:43 | glad i got some...:-) | ranoszek
30/6/2011 12:02 | I bought yesterday at 0.85 which was the quoted sell then and today. To buy today the price was 0.95; so ADV fN quoted prices dont reflect reality. | lr4850
30/6/2011 08:12 | Based on yesterday's results, this is a bargain. The listed securities are worth over £5m, plus St Helens is a million or so, giving about £6m, plus bits and pieces. All for a cap of £2.5m and accumulated tax losses. All selling for a third of real value. | acquisitor
29/6/2011 17:45 | Is it correct that EVOL paid 9p for each ASTAIRE share. Will they get their original investment back? I don't think so ! | lr4850 |
