15/5/2014 08:19 | Everyman Media Group non-exec stocks up Independent cinema group Everyman Media Group on Wednesday announced Michael Rosehill, a non-executive director, had bought a round of shares worth 13,069 pounds. Rosehill paid 91p for each of the 14,362 shares. The group, which listed on AIM in November last year, posted a 27% increase in annual revenue to £11.52m, with admissions up 15% to 771,323. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) totalled £1.04m, down from £1.06m a year earlier, hit in part by an increase in the cost of sales from £5.2m to £4.7m. The group posted a pre-tax loss of £0.78m for the 12-month period, compared to a profit of £0.26m a year earlier. Looking forward, the group said it was 'well positioned' to continue its expansion, with three new cinema venues signed and further new venues in the pipeline. Sharecast. | philanderer
15/5/2014 06:22 | Ah thanks. | battlebus2
15/5/2014 04:58 | What I meant battlebus2, is that if you compared this to Cineworld you may think this is not cheap. But this is a niche operator at a very early growth stage, it's not mass market so can grow organically into the university cities and 'progressive' towns over the years without ever being bothered by the OFT. So a non-mature/early growth stage premium is probably and actually quite justified. | n3tleylucas
14/5/2014 11:38 | Another director buy :)) | battlebus2
14/5/2014 07:23 | Thanks N3tleyLucas,certainl 25k late buy reported from yesterday at 91p. | battlebus2
13/5/2014 17:19 | This is overvalued on market form. But the market is somewhat fixed. By that I mean there is a bias and a tendency that can help this lot. It's a 20 yr growth story really. True. | n3tleylucas
13/5/2014 17:11 | LOL, if your willing i would love to hear your view. | battlebus2

06/5/2014 19:42 | Hope you didn't indulge too much :)) Great to see you here philanderer still a very unknown company within the investment world and very few holders. Some big name major shareholders though like Hargreave Hale. Have you taken a position or have any views? | battlebus2

05/5/2014 22:11 | Evening philanderer, good to see you post on EMAN. Did you know there is already a thread. From the latest report.. Openings In April 2013, the Group opened a new three screen site as well as a private screening lounge, outdoor terrace and bar and restaurant in the heart of Leeds city centre. The Group will be opening new sites at the Mailbox in Birmingham (late 2014), and Canary Wharf in London (mid 2015). There are a number of other sites which are already in the pipeline and at various stages of negotiation. Additionally the Group has acquired additional space adjacent to our existing site in Hampstead which will be used to expand the food offer. | battlebus2
05/5/2014 21:35 | 'Huge new office to be created at city's Mailbox' A new 50,000 sq ft office the largest of its kind in the city is being created at The Mailbox as part of a £50 million project to rejuvenate the landmark building. The giant office is being created, including an open glass atrium-style office reception, and is expected to be on the market next year. Theo Holmes from agency CBRE said it would be the largest single-floor office on the market in the city. He said there would be strong demand for the office as the city was running short of grade A space, with the likes of Two Snowhill filling up and Paradise Circus years away. The office forms part of the current programme of remodelling at the complex, scheduled to finish in 2015, including the opening of an Everyman Cinema in late 2014, a sky-lit roof and expanded 45,000 sq ft Harvey Nichols signature store | philanderer

24/4/2014 14:22 | I hope so playful, I love the format and experience. Had the pleasure of seeing a film in one of the London cinemas and wouldn't go back to the herd cinemas again. With the revenues expected to increase over the next few years with new openings it looks very positive to me if they can cap those admin costs a bit too. I've taken 15k for now to see how things pan out but as ever a long term view. | battlebus2
24/4/2014 13:06 | I can tell you the cinema hire is proving very popular for staff incentives & away days. I know a company in Leeds that paid £400 for all the staff to watch a movie of their choice at Everyman and it proved highly popular especially with the comfy seating. BB2 you could potentially be onto another winner here! | playful
24/4/2014 09:55 | Dropped on that sale, hope he/she didn't attend the AGM :)) No news on trading just the resolutions duly passed. | battlebus2
24/4/2014 09:02 | AGM today so maybe an update along with the formal notice perhaps. | battlebus2 |
