I'm a new holder: Please give short history of drop from 100p in Jan'18 to current 3p. What's your projected full value target in [say] six months?

I suspect some technical traders are getting in position hoping to fill up the gap @ 4p caused by the Simba merger debacle.

I know it's hardly the same scale of business but I can't help looking at Amazon's sales growth (+40% vs same quarter last year) and think that online is now the dominant consumer purchasing platform. This seems to bode v well for a pure online play like eve. Surely, if this general trend of consumer shift to online continues, the market will have to look seriously at not only sales but growth potential.

This share is showing good resilience on a pretty bad day for the markets. I see there's a 0.5m buyer out there too hoovering up smaller sellers

That's a nice rise today but the market cap is still less than their cash position!

As for Friday drinks, I do not see a problem with it other than it is very unfair to those that do not drink or work flexible hours - in the same way as smokers are given breaks which non-smokers are not entitled to.

If CC addresses this abnormality or has already done so, I have no issues with the drinks being paid for by the company, if that is what the majority want, though I think many CEO`s are to soft on their staff and fear taking these perks away - not that I consider them perks these days, as I do not think they are any longer appropriate and should be replaced with incentives as those that are not social animals often get left out by the click in the office.

Still I like CC being honest about it, to much of this sort of thing is hidden from ordinary shareholders.

Took a dummy quote - MMs are bidding 2.42p! My guess is that they are low on inventory.

The house broker, finnCap, effectively stayed out of the market by quoting 0.5p/2.5p for a very long time (well, at least since I started monitoring back in May). I suspect they bought a big chunk of Woodford's shares and decided to wait for a mega pay day. Eventually MMs might have no choice but to beg/buy/borrow off FCAP.

Of course this is assuming demand for the shares stays strong.

[update @ 15:40] FCAP have finally moved... to 1p/3p. Still seems they are not yet interested in making a market!

I am amazed that any Friday drinks are put on the company tab, and then disappointed that the CEO see fit to mention it in a financial interview!!

I've always found Cheryl Calverley refreshing to listen to. The "Friday drinks" comment was for me informative and confirmatory of the people culture one expects in a young and growing business. Such immaterial expenses typically yield disproportionate rewards in terms of employee satisfaction, loyalty and productivity.

IMO eve is blessed with a very talented CEO - someone with a very good head on her shoulders, down to earth, and well regarded in her industry. It's only a matter of time before someone poaches her!

See below for other (older) interviews with Cheryl:

did you watch the CEO interview - car crash I thought!

the best / worst response I thought was when asked were any head office costs saved during lock down - she replied … well we obviously didn't have Friday Drinks Bill!!! - shocker!!

the metrics of the business seem to have potential but the CEO maybe not the right person to do it. I am amazed that any Friday drinks are put on the company tab, and then disappointed that the CEO see fit to mention it in a financial interview!!

all IMHO, DYOR + BoL
EVE is in my portfolio - (trading chart position)
