I would imagine the same fate for Cairn's Ireland well in the future but as ever all imho.

They were about to drill the appraisal on Spanish Point but the Blackford Dolphin broke down and in the end the drill never took place, I think later on both CNE and PVRs priorities changed but a shame IMHO.

IMHO it is simply a "place-holder" to appease officially authorities, methinks!
Also whatever happened to (Cairn operated?) Spanish Point well or whatever it was called? Didn't this have discovery of 45 BCF or whatever?

Jusmasel you are ever optimistic, looking through the CNE presentation the mention of Ireland is now in the small print, most of the emphasis seems to be on Mexico.

I like Dunderheed he has a real grip on the truth, equally I like Jus too as he puts a positive spin in here. However facts show that this company is failing and I'm losing value. Doesnt matter what either say, this is a very poor management team and results prove that.

Sure but if the geology is that compelling and in a competitive environment then this should still have gone already?
I am not saying it isn't too going to happen but the "signs" are the oil companies ain't exactly queuing up to buy in?
I still chuckle when reflecting on the sage (or is it stooge lol?) of EOG stating so strongly how this asset would be farmed out, banged on, over a year ago.

Are there not other compelling potential feeds into Corrib as well?
That is the important word "potential". Perhaps there is more "potential" elsewhere?
Just because there was a gas discovery on this block doesn't mean there will be further commercial volumes.
I don't know but if it was such a banged on certainty why hasn't it been snapped up already?

Looking at EOGs "record" of crystallising talk to date, doesn't instil me in much confidence personally.

I am however still hopeful that we can still farm out Inishkea on good terms which is why I continue to hold but as each day ticks by find this very frustrating. Am I being stupid in following that strategy? Hopefully we will know soon!!

Dunquin, Druid/Drombeg and now Iolar didn't come in. Any one of these could have set things off but sadly they didn't and who will be next to drill in the Porcupine now? Inishkea is different, it is next to Corrib, Ireland needs gas and the Corrib partners need more gas, surely this will be drilled.

Agree roger but I repeat if they see something they like they go for it. Simple.
Therefore I infer that Ireland is a long way down the queue compared to some of the other assets you mention, so again from my perspective as not as compelling as certain other incredibly researched posters seemed to think?

CNE at the moment have a lot on their plate especially in Senegal, the Porcupine may just have to wait for financial reasons rather than the prospects. The recent difficulties in permitting in Ireland are not helpful, CNE have new acreage in Nicaragua and Suriname, the successes in Guyana are attracting the industry to Latin America.

Let's be very clear, Cairn may sometimes or at least previously had a somewhat suicidal attitude to drilling but, if they do see something they like they bloody well go for it.
Hence I think I'm pretty safe in inferring they ain't seen anything that interesting?!

That's all CNE's website says about Ireland. In the AGM presentation (April), Ireland is listed under exploration for 2021. No hurry I think.
