18/2/2019 14:27 | What's going on?!? Anyone seen a rubber stamp? I'm only 37% down now and had virtually given up hope with this one after so many disappointments! Now I just need IOG to follow suit and am relying on the OG to to it. Nothing else seems to make any difference with IOG! | bountyhunter

18/2/2019 13:29 | tt2 - hope you're right bruv! Rather like GWB2 I am the guy who works in o&g - trying to get people interested in this share - with everyone knowing I had bought EOG (laughing behind me back (and some direct to me face) - so to date I have looked the "double prize plonker" lol!!). Whilst we're all having a laf - my other prize plonker gamble stock being AEX. I want that "told you so" moment as well! Ahem, I will be out at 5.90p. Best of luck all. | dunderheed

However, no one more than me wants a result here, I've been here for too many years and I need an 'I told you so' moment in my life. Im sure people laugh at me when I walk down the street, 'Thats the guy who bought EOG shares 10 years ago', what a plonker. Luckily me and Pasty know a man who is always successful and in great shape. | guesswhosback2

16/2/2019 07:07 | For folk looking in to see what happened yesterday here is some background - off the top of my head from previous research - you can look back at my posts for the detail. Our main prospect is a 1 Tcf gas target at Inishkea which lies close to the Corrib infrastructure. An unknown major oil company has looked at our seismic and has proposed to senior management to farm in for a drill in 2020. We are waiting on that farm in decision which could come any day. Even if we don't get the nod from that particular company the least we can assume is that the prospect is good and worthy of interest from an oil major. Given ireland's energy supply problems the chances of Inishkea not being drilled in my opinion are less than zero. Ireland needs gas - end of. How EOG ended up with the licence which is the remainder of the original Corrib discovery licence is interesting and probably down to the fact that when the licence came up for grabs, EOG came top of the applicants ratings because DCCAE apply a weighting factor to the application based on a company's previous investment history in Offshore Ireland. EOG and PVR are top of that list. There was not much interest in the licence when it was awarded because Shell the original holder had pulled out and perhaps it was felt there were no prospects in the remainder of the licence. On closer inspection though I found out that a well 18/20-7 had been drilled by Shell in what is now our licence and they found gas. The results of that well were being kept private for some reason but I suspected that they had found something so no surprise really when the well results were released to the public in 2016. 40bcf (peanuts really and with low perm and press) but the interesting thing was that Shell stopped at TD within the sands where the gas was found. Why? Still don't know. Research then showed that Shell went back to the drill site the following year for a site survey AND then carried out further seismic over the area. SO they were interested and the head of Vermillion at the time was fairly excited about the tie back possibilities including giving an estimate on costs of doing so. Vermillion are now the operator of Corrib (trading as Nephin Energy) Another development in January last year was the appointment of Brian o'Caithlin who was involved with the original Corrib discovery to the EOG board. A few months ago Brian was also appointed to the board of Nephin ENergy so the plot thickens. Vermillion and their partners in Corrib, CPPIB and Equinor, have only recently taken over from Shell so they clearly have been limited in what they can say or do until that happened. Corrib is now in decline but the infrastructure is there and the best way to maximise the profit from it is to prolong the life of the field. I am sure they intend to do so and could well be potential partners for EOG. Exciting times. EOG are pursuing other partners for the project but don't forget the Porcupine Basin assets as well. Billions of potential resources and the aforementioned Farm OUt in waiting includes a further two well commitment in that area. With Nexen/CXNOOC and Exxon Mobil drilling the Iolar prospect there this year that could derisk a huge amount of EOGs prospects and interest will be high. EOG is a very very interesting prospect. Do your own research of course but it is all there on the internet if you look deep enough. | jusmasel99 |
