04/4/2018 09:42 | Perhaps the new directors had to wait till the results rns was out of the way before buying shares in the market? Nothing to stop them now, unless they are just there for salary, and options. | currypasty
04/4/2018 09:36 | Oh dear. My drivel? Who the hell has been cheer leading these guys for the last couple of years? I wonder who is losing out more by listening to 'my drivel' or yours? One things for certain it's not the mgt of eog! Btw I never filter people because, from experience you sometimes pick up on an angle which you hadn't thought of before and it helps reduce the glare on the rise tinted glasses even sometimes I wear (With other stocks of course lol!). | dunderheed
04/4/2018 09:21 | By the way DH I just put you on filter - had enough of your endless drivel | jusmasel99
04/4/2018 09:21 | Ha lol so no reason then!! | dunderheed
04/4/2018 09:18 | In your own words mate - do your own research | jusmasel99
04/4/2018 09:09 | Jus excuse my ignorance but what r those reasons? | dunderheed
04/4/2018 08:58 | Thanks Spangle Maybe not material to Shell but there are two other parties involved because remember at the time of the drill the licence area was owned by Shell, Vermillion and Statoil and neither could have taken on the licence from Shell for a variety of reasons once it was reduced to the extent of the Corrib Field. | jusmasel99
04/4/2018 08:57 | Exactly why r they suddenly going to release tight hole confidential info when they have or intend to walk? (Shell charity lol) I'd have thought they may have kept this and got another 15mm or so back, aligned with the Corrib divestment if it really is what Hugh and you think? Cue in my minds eye, hugh and jus poring over seismic spotting something the rest of mkt hasn't seen. Just like all the rest of the Irish assets (ahem I'll get me coat!). Of course all imho but how many times have I heard eog have stolen the march on the rest of the mkt in Ireland? | dunderheed
04/4/2018 08:41 | Because they could? That well wouldn't have been material to shell, so there's no need to report it to the public P.S. All good wishes, jusmasel | spangle93
04/4/2018 08:27 | PS this time last year neither Hugh nor myself knew the results of that well because Shell were keeping them secret. Why did they keep them secret????? | jusmasel99
04/4/2018 07:52 | Rayrac this isn't UKOG so quit your sniping. | guesswhosback
04/4/2018 07:43 | Rayrac I'm not going to waste my time anymore on that but your points r exactly my point!! For such a small company they should concentrate on their bread and butter assets where this so called mgt team have completely taken their eye off the ball! A bets a bet and don't bet what you can't afford to lose so f it I dont really care but just get p88888 off with the woeful mgt pfmce. I hope they don't get any bonuses or options as they dont deserve any lol. All imho and best of luck all. | dunderheed
04/4/2018 07:36 | Pretty poor set of results considering the uptick in the oil price imo. Our cash reserves are dwindling too so is it wise to spend money on other projects? Surely they won't do a placing at this price, so that could leave us with very little going forward. | 4sta
04/4/2018 07:26 | jusmase is worth a read and hard luck with the bet Dunderhead! | rayrac
04/4/2018 07:22 | Thanks for the tick down los ricos. :) About time you guys realised the lack of bargain power a market cap of 10.5m and cash of £2.5 gives you..zero! | rayrac
04/4/2018 07:20 | Rayrac I don't need to be told to man up mate thanks. You're just boring like these results. Simple question, why haven't these new 'mgrs' bought any shares in this comp any ffs? I bought about 450 k shares yesterday on a bet simple. 16k cash generation lol!! | dunderheed
04/4/2018 07:20 | Best Case There is a lot in the results to take note of with regard to our potential and there is just as much not in the results to take note of and worthy of research and consideration which is the real basis I am invested here. Porcupine Basin Assets These are potentially huge for EOG but they are dependent on drill bit success. The majors are invested here and I would say it was pretty certain that this year will bring news of further exploration in the basin to be undertaken next year as results from the various 3D Seismic projects are finally analysed. Cairn are interested in one of our licences already and there is the prospect of them drilling soon into a target that may stretch across the boundary of the adjacent licence. Through Druid and Drombeg last year we have seen speculation in our shares based on drill bit activity elsewhere in the basin. The potential for a similar rise is there. Corrib The more I look at Corrib the better it gets. For whatever reasons it has become a key strategic resource for Ireland. Just consider what their energy requirements would be if it wasnt there at the moment. Macron now underfire in France is also a real problem for Ireland as is Brexit. Within a couple of months the new ownership partnership will be established and then they can start making decisions on the future of the project one of which will certainly be to extend the life of it and the only way they can do that is by exploration = whether they encourage others to do it or they do it themselves. I would suspect that is why no deal has been done already with Hugh who I know has been meeting with them. Anybody who thinks the appointment of the two new directors both of whom with rich Corrib background was a co-incidence must think again. They are there to make this happen and I am sure they will. They still haven't bought shares in the company so I remain hopefull the reason why is that news is imminent. A farm in to Corrib would be sensational for the share price - no idea how much it would rise but surely would find us closer to a £50m Mcap than a £10m one. Holmwood The perseverance to get Holmwood drilled will surely pay off. If this were the only prospect coming up for EOG then I would hang on for the spud and get ready to sell but it isn't and we are fully covered for the cost of the well. Drilling will certainly boost the share price as well as attract some of the Weald Wishers to the table. Wressle As mentioned in the Worst case scenario will happen in my opinion. It will boost the share price from here. Other I am confident that Hugh and the team are going to find better prospects elswhere in the world for us to get our teeth into - news of that could come at any time and be very interesting indeed. Alll this is in my opinion do your own research etc etc etc but a 3p share price is ridiculous for this company | jusmasel99
04/4/2018 07:13 | You are a cynic by nature Dunderhead. Why are you still here? Is it that you have a contract of difference? Sell and man up...or better still, stop your stupld posting on this thread! | rayrac
04/4/2018 06:57 | Jus what a ridiculous thing to say about OP!! When you see the results of the majority well run oil companies you will see they're significantly delivering better results than expected because they have developed a low cost business model then you look at lazy promote models where the mgt just print off more paper continually. These are the oil companies you want to avoid. Now which is eog lol?! When are these new mgrs going to buy some shares if eog are such a great deal. Best case scenario blue sky comes in simple.... how long has Hughie been promising this now?! | dunderheed
04/4/2018 06:54 | jam another day.! | los ricos
04/4/2018 06:51 | Results are as expected - no surprises with cash in the bank and good income. The potential for multi bagging is there and there is little downside risk from the current share price in my opinion. So if you are thinking about investing in Europa here is my opinion - in two parts. Worst Case Scenario Then we forget about Ireland completely - both the Porcupine and Corrib and concentrate solely on the current UK Onshore Assets. Current production will continue to decline of course and Holmwood may never be drilled but it is totally and utterly inconceivable that Wressle will not come into production or be settled by an expensive law suit. The Planning Inspector decision relates entirely to above ground conditions and it is beyond the realms of imgination that EDR cannot come up with a proposal to extract the hydrocarbons in a way that would meet with the inspectors approval. I am not saying that the council will approve them but the inspector will have to. So within a maximum timeframe of 2 years our production will benefit from an additional 200bpd. A company producing 250bpd at an OP of £50 will be worth at least our current Mcap surely. It is the absolute worst case scenario. Of course the Oil Price is open to fluctuation but within the next two years the effect of the lack of investment into exploration over the last 5 years will have its greatest impact on production while global consumption continues to rise. If you don't think the OP will continue to rise from here then you shouldn't be investing in the oil industry anyway. Best Case Scenario to follow : | jusmasel99
04/4/2018 06:48 | Well I'm pretty underwhelmed, amazing cash generation during thus 6 months with the oil price so high lol! | dunderheed
03/4/2018 22:14 | Yes but where could they have been if they hadnt spent so long looking at the lovely blue skies and then gazing into their navels after ? Were they responsible for the increasing oil price? So once we've stripped the impacts of the price variance (uncontrollable) then I think you'll be pretty under whelmed? That's my point and opinion. I hope I'm wrong lol! | dunderheed
03/4/2018 22:05 | 6816: results likely to be "very disappointing" and "very underwhelming results" care to shed any light on this? I'm expecting similar production rates to latest results with an approx OP rise of 25% for the period. | tommy241 |
