14/3/2018 08:49 | In 1908 on Rusheen, a tidal island at short distance away from Iniskea South, a Norwegian company built a whaling station, which operated until 1922. The whaling station had a pier, two dams and some corrugated iron buildings, where blubber was boiled and potted. It is said about 50 whales were caught each year, mostly Finn, but also Humpies and Sperm. If the development plan for Iniskea involves a tie-in to the previous infrastructure I don't think it will go down too well with the environmentalists. | rogerlin
14/3/2018 08:45 | I agree with peaky blinder2 on the lse forum, his post just about sums it up. I too have been here for what seems like an eternity waiting for them to do something other than 3d mapping and more and more technical work on our prospects. We need action and we need it soon, no good having all these prospects if all they're going to do is keep re-evaluating them. | 4sta
14/3/2018 07:39 | Have a look at my post #6663 ..... Mmmm .... Vermillion are after all our partners in France ... I wonder if we are in bed with them in Corrib already and perhaps this announcement is testing the water / setting the scene for the need to extend the life of Corrib and extend it quickly as well ... Market Cap here £10m ??? ridiculous ... | jusmasel99

14/3/2018 07:22 | As always with EOG - good news comes in 2s and 3s .. Well Well Well ... Newsletter / Corrib Update very very interesting. A well in 2020 indeed ... seems to tie in with Vermillion's CAPEX plans .. ! | jusmasel99
14/3/2018 07:16 | New Corrib-based philosophy is explained well in the document inssued this morning Step away from the Porcupine | spangle93
14/3/2018 06:48 | Pretty exciting news there Rogerlin. Oil reservoirs don't conform to licence area boundaries so the best case scenario for us is a target prospect that extends over the two licence areas and they choose to drill just inside the boundary of 16/18! "Looking for partners" !!! I sense the next drill coming our way ... early days though. | jusmasel99
13/3/2018 21:03 | From Cairn's webcast, Eric Hathon (Exploration director) commented on blocks 16/18 and 16/19 (16/19 is the one shared with EOG) "brand new Crean seismic...yellow and orange events, those are turbidite channels and turbidite fans that are ponding on our block which demonstrates clearly the presence of reservoir on the block...we will be looking for partners this year". Seemed to be discussing both blocks but then said "block". | rogerlin

13/3/2018 07:08 | From Cairn's results this morning ... In Ireland, Cairn has a growing acreage position in the Porcupine Basin with an interest in five licences over an area of more than 4,000km2. In the year, Cairn farmed in to LO 16/19 (Cairn 70% WI, Operatorship) which added further acreage to the previously awarded adjacent LO 16/18. Activity in 2017 focused on developing a lead and prospect inventory across the licences 16/19 and 16/18 where the company participated in a large multi-client 3D acquisition programme to be processed in 2018. Cairn also farmed-in to FEL 2/14 and participated in one unsuccessful exploration well with Operator Providence Resources; the 53/6-1 well, which spud in H2 2017 and targeted two large stratigraphic traps, Druid and the deeper independent Drombeg target. This was the deepest water exploration well drilled to date offshore Atlantic Ireland. | jusmasel99
12/3/2018 23:11 | That sounds like a plan. I've always had a passing interest in EOG since its eastern european days. I can see that Wressle may actually get there soon in which case you'll probably double your money. Corrib is of great interest, but I can see Vermilion playing it very smartly and relieving EOG of Corrib for a song. Add the Irish greens into the mix, then Corrib may be trickier for EOG than at first planned. However, it does look like a really good asset. I'm nearly tempted but it's not quite clear enough - hence the price, the risk and the opportunity. | caters
12/3/2018 17:53 | Don't you worry about my Portfolio mate ... for the last few weeks I have been buying back most of the EOG shares I sold at half the price I got for them. And I fully expect to double my money again. All you need with EOG is patience ... | jusmasel99
12/3/2018 16:19 | Hi Spangle Ah... see what you mean :-) It was a question for Jusmasel. I like Jusmasel but I am concerned for his well being and portfolio ;-) | caters
12/3/2018 15:43 | Hi Caters - was that question specific, or aimed at every holder? | spangle93
12/3/2018 15:03 | Many other oil and gas shares are heading north and it's not rocket science identifying them, getting onboard and riding the upward chart. Why are you here? | caters
12/3/2018 14:57 | and still no director buys .. I am sure Hugh and Phil would add if they could .. but what about the New Directors .. it is purely courtesy to do so, so there has to be a closed period in operation in my opinion .. | jusmasel99
12/3/2018 14:20 | I wonder if we have applied for any licences in the 30th offshore round? Results will be known in a couple of weeks .... | jusmasel99
12/3/2018 12:55 | TMP now 18/4 ? | currypasty
09/3/2018 20:30 | EOG's interims should be released early April. It'll be interesting to see the effect of higher OP revenues and reduced admin costs. Angus have just released their finals. Nearly £2 million admin costs and zero revenue recorded. £10 million market cap v £20 million market cap. | tommy241
09/3/2018 15:55 | Www.drillordrop.com/ Perhaps getting the EA consultation and period between 15 March to 29 March 2018 for comments out of the way before SCC meet again (18th April) to discuss. | tommy241 |
