01/11/2017 08:37 | “Big companies will become more confident if oil prices stabilise between $50 and $60 per barrel,” he said. Well I am not sure that is a vote of confidence in an Oil price that is past $60 already and climbing ... OPEC Meeting coming up .. more to the point the BoE tomorrow and they will be factoring in the OP .. could be a bigger rise in interest rates than expected | jusmasel99
01/11/2017 08:24 | “We remain focused on securing farm-outs for the remainder of our Irish licences with partners with whom we can advance our assets towards drilling,” chief executive Hugh MacKay said, adding that while progress has been slower than the company hoped, things are “moving” “Substantial progress has been made, but we need to be patient. | currypasty
01/11/2017 08:18 | Mention of EOG here. | rogerlin
01/11/2017 05:16 | Work still progressing in the Porcupine ... hxxp://www.offshoree hxxp://subseaworldne | jusmasel99
31/10/2017 17:35 | Tommy241, 3/4 bagger? | ducatiman
31/10/2017 17:20 | I'd say / hope for around 15p. The big question is will the mediocre 'management' be able to get us there by then? | dunderheed
31/10/2017 16:44 | Ducatiman, care to guess on share price after Wressle comes on stream / Holmwood spuds? | tommy241
31/10/2017 16:01 | A little lower and I am a buyer with a view to decent returns first half 2018. | ducatiman
31/10/2017 15:00 | Notification of Decision on Planning Application Application No: MO/2016/1563 Site: Land at Bury Hill Wood, Coldharbour Lane, Holmwood, Surrey RH5 6HN Proposal: The installation of perimeter security fencing consisting of 2 metre (m) high Heras fencing and 3m high deer fencing; an office and wc at the site entrance; and office, welfare accommodation, water fuel and a generator, all ancillary to and in association with appeal decision APP/B3600/A/11/21665 | rmunro3
31/10/2017 14:58 | I see EOG have been granted planning on the security, and general infrastructure. | rmunro3
31/10/2017 12:48 | Jus, I considered selling some EOG to by more of another. Plenty of time left to decide if I see some EOG or sell something elsewhere I am in profit in to buy more of another! No comment on Hugh except to say he is doing a sterling job as CEO of EOG even with yesterday results money wise! Come Q1 2018 we will see drilling onshore UK...... ATB, GD | greatfull dead
31/10/2017 09:17 | I think there is synergy there. Consider Hugh and his team focus on Ireland and these new offshore ventures he has mentioned while Mark and his team focus on UK Onshore. Could even be some merit in floating the Irish subsidiary and initiating a drill in much the way PVR did. | jusmasel99
31/10/2017 08:47 | PVR refer to a site survey at Newgrange, that suggests they may know how they can fund a drill there. After the disappointment at Druid/Drombeg, further confidence in the Porcupine is important to EOG. We are still waiting on the decisions of Total at Druid and Cairn at Avalon whether to take up their options. Only Nexen at Iolar seems definite for next year. | rogerlin
31/10/2017 08:42 | If DDH concurs I would assume that Egdon are our nearest comparable competitor. Both companies with UK Onshore production and with tantalising diverse future prospects. EOG offshore Ireland and EDR UK Onshore Shale Gas. We both have approx the same Market Valuation at present. But EOG has significant higher Sales (£1.5m v £1m) and more significantly lower Admin costs which for me is a true reflection of the way a company is run (£0.5m v £1.2m) More to the point our Admin expenses have fallen slightly while EDR's are increasing. I think both companies have great potential although I would suggest a higher risk associated with EDR prospects in Shale Gas - not because I think they won't be realised but because I think they will take a long time to get developed in the current UK PLanning and Protestor regime. Still there is a lot be said for consolidation in the sector and EDR and EOG would make a perfect fit. | jusmasel99
30/10/2017 19:17 | Situation solved Under the general law, as part of the Crown’s prerogative, all mines of gold and silver belong to the Crown other than, exceptionally, where they have been granted to a subject. Petroleum in its natural state is also vested in the Crown. Most interests in coal are vested in the Coal Authority. The Coal Authority may also have title to other mines and minerals in coal mining areas. Registered titles will not therefore include any of these interests. | jusmasel99
30/10/2017 19:07 | That's it. Apparently this entitlement was removed automatically by law in 2013 UNLESS these hereditary land owners wrote to all property owners advising them that they still claimed these rights. the DoD did just that. Also applied to Lords of the Manor - those bits of paper you can buy for a hundred quid or so! Oh well I am sure Hugh knows all about it! | jusmasel99
30/10/2017 18:58 | The Duke of Devonshire? Repeated here (para 9) and implies he still has the rights although don't know if that is really the up to date position? | rogerlin
30/10/2017 18:38 | Jus that's fine mate. Tbh, I don't even know why I wasting my time here. I do think they'll come good but I think the mgt are mediocre at best and don't deserve their options!! They've had plenty of time to prove themselves!! All imho of course. | dunderheed
30/10/2017 18:19 | That list DDH was me being flippant while showing the potential our brokers think we have.... as I said .. I'll happily compare any list you provide Rogerlin .. there is something in that link I really don't like! Maybe needs an explanation from EOG and UPL | jusmasel99
30/10/2017 16:49 | Jus? The list I'd see as being relevant would include equivalent o&g companies? | dunderheed
30/10/2017 16:48 | And they were pleased to find oil in 1919. | rogerlin
30/10/2017 16:41 | "Production testing methodologies for carbonate reservoirs have evolved since 1919" I like this comment (re Hardstoft). | rogerlin |
